Mixed corp = A corp with conflicting alignment Megacorping = Two seperate corps working together and sharing hard assets for a common goal.
As far as megarob being the only reason for a mixed corp, that is false.
We run mixed corps in practically every type game and as long as the blues keep thier alignment around 1000, then the penalty for experience loss is acceptable. With respect, I have no idea what your point is. Sincerely. I do understand your english, it just makes no sense. Nonsense? What I was saying is that adding features to hinder CIM hunter scripts isn't going to stop good players from finding bases. Data mining is an art and very few players are good at it. The two best that I've seen are Sing and Parrothead. My second point is that if you don't like mixed corps, don't play MBBS style edits. MBBS is much easier for mixed corps because of megarob and mbbs combat penalty mode. I hope that's not too far above your head. We got that part. However this thread is about MegaCorping, whether it is cheating or not, and alliance drama that happened in game A. Not a single post mentioned CIM hunter, data mining, mixed corp or megarob. Maybe you replied to the wrong thread?

Sharing resources would be dumb... Yeap, and I want a fair fight. You're one man down, maybe rem0te can join you to even the teams again?

Some making "knee-jerk" decisions, others plotting and planning, plenty of oops's going on. I've played the scripting games, I'm at the keys, corpies are running AFK grid scripts, AFK pdrops etc... enemy, more of the same, Very cold universe full of programs playing programs... Not my idea of a fun game.

 Re: Classic Mega Corping....
Yes there has been two threads about this subject and some have bled over into each other. Mixed corps have been mentioned a few times in this thread Example: MicroBlaster wrote: Promethius wrote: Megacorping defeats the max players on a corp setting. Instead of fighting it out on equal terms, you are now fighting twice the players, twice the time, twice the turns. A temporary alliance isn't the same thing as a Megacorp. Back when I played, mixed corps weren't even allowed. Clearly this is something all teams should discuss and agree on before a game starts and the GameOp should post the resulting rules.

Found us in about 4 hours, and I was determined to figure out how he did it and how to stop it.

Be good to have the SmackTalk Forum back. Wouldnt have to dissemble or say nice things if it were.

 Re: Classic Mega Corping....
I think people are behaving well enough. In smack, things degenerated pretty quickly. I learned not to follow that forum.
As for the sports analogy being thrown around, show me a sport with 3 teams competing in a single game and I'll show you a sport where two can gang up on one. There are sports where you have more than two competitors, and you do end up with alliances. Cycling is one example. Often a highly successful rider like Armstrong or Contador has a target on his back with everyone else gunning for them. And you don't hear them complaining about it. They're the target because they're the best.
In any competition where there's a clear front runner, everyone chasing that person/team has a shared goal until that person/team is defeated, whether or not they formalize it with an agreement.

Quote: I really can't understand why some consider it cheating The corp member limit is what brings an element of 'fairness' to a game of corp vs corp. If megacorping is allowed, you could just call in your ICQ list and it turns into a popularity contest. You bring in another corp of 5 to help out, I yell for help and bring in two corps of 5 to help... Am I the only one to see this? ps..pretty sure a corp of 5 would cream 10 solo's.

 Re: Classic Mega Corping....
We should have a megacorping game. 1 man corps, 5 corps per team...
