I have archived the game, everyone will start in sector 1. Everyone will have 0 turns at the start. The stardock was NOT blown, so I am making a rule IN GAME A ONLY. IF the stardock is blown, all those involved will be REMOVED from the game. NO EXCEPTIONS. If there are any spelling errors, I will fix them when I import the game, but they must be submitted to Snow White by Friday at 8pm EST otherwise the names posted will be as is. I notice 1 error. Baited is Bait. lol
Now I'm going to attempt to put the corp format in a readable manner.
Corp 1
Space Ghost
Lord Talon
Vulcan
Lonestar
Corp 2
Killian
River Rat
Desert Fox
Silence
Corp 3
Stockton
Steel Magnolia
Cernnunos
Uncle Sam
Corp 4
Baited
Promethius
Mantis
Crosby
Corp 5
The Reverend
Snow White
Runaway Proton
Bazaar
Corp 6
Zentock
Kavanagh
Oso

Promethius wrote: k, I've really got to fix that formatting and whatever problems you encountered running the script. Even if it is not used again - it is just too nasty looking. I cleaned up the format to make it easier for people:
Corp 1 Space Ghost Lonestar Vulcan Lord Talon
Corp 2 Killian River Rat Desert Fox Silence
Corp 3 Steel Magnolia Stockton Cernnunos Uncle Sam
Corp 4 Bait Promethius Mantis Crosby
Corp 5 The Reverend Bazaar Snow White Runaway Proton
Corp 6 Zentock Kavanagh Phoiex Oso
Actually the format problem is cutting and pasting into this forum. Anything you cut and past seems to have format problems. Same problem with the script on cutting and pasting from here. Some of the characters were screwed up.

This is really cool.. i like this idea
I think we should do this for the forseeable future in turns games.. mix in a byoc every once in awhile but this is cool..
nice turnout for the first game but no reason we cant have 10 corps next time

Yes I really didn't expect the 1st game to have this turn out. Being that we did have such a turn out, that brings up a couple of issues.
My server is on Verizon DSL, that might scare some right off the bat. But anyway, It's also a new server. I've had it going for about 3 weeks now. It seems to be doing ok with the exception of about 6 drops from Verizon over that 3 week period. The most I have had online at 1 time is 15 nodes that I have seen. I have it set at 30 at the moment. I will raise it to 50 before Saturday. The question I'm asking is IF, since we did have such a big turnout, do the players feel that ie would be better have the game on an established server? I mean I have no problem with sending the game file to someone with a faster and tested server. Also, I am gone for sometimes 3 days at a time, so if it is on my server, I need someone that is reliable that can telnet into the admin port and maybe fix any problems if I'm not available. This has to be someone NOT in the game and that everyone will trust, including me. Think it over and post your opinions.

If you need, I could pop my server back up (for this game only) or could be the emergency guy if need be (as i have little else to do atm, heh)

Either way is fine with me. If you have a good server and connection, we can use yours if everyone agrees, or if not, I can set up server access but not game access. Just in case it needs recycled or rebooted. Either way is fine with me. Any other suggestions from anyone?

At this point in the buildup, I'm sure any server that is willing to reliably host this game will be accepted by the players.
I just wanna play! I don't care where

Ok, what I'll do is give him access to the admin port, that way he can sort of help if there is a problem. It looks like game S is just about over so should be a problem with too many nodes full. I may pronounce winners of the most of the other gmes tommorrow night if they ae far enough advanced and just take those games out for now. I'll open 50 nodes, that should be enough. I figure the ones online will be in game A anyway.
I"ll also try to stay with daily trips at least for the 1st week to handle any problems that might arise. I have everything set to restart on a reboot, including IP update if it changes.
