I do not want to see any ships with 1tpw, and any ships at 2tpw should not be able to withstand say 2 or 3 sectors of 5 to 10k off figs sitting in a 6way warp to stop gridders.

Anyone ever try to furb in a stock game, w/ an ISS @ 4tpw? It isn't fun. Even worse is that in a stock edit there's no decent red battleship at all (25k figs... come on) you won't get blue versus blue violence until people can afford to flip their alignment back (which means mobiles) or risk their ISS w/ 50k ftrs and 1.5x ship odds (and their turns which may be needed to furb). All this translates into a very slow and rather boring game, even in a small universe. Takes 2x the number of ftrs to take a planet in an ISS, so in a game w/ equal play... where are you going to get them? Then shielded, then stalemate among the surviving corps (which we can already probably figure out). There's really no good attack ship in a stock edit, and unless you give the battleship 2.0 off odds and 50k ftrs you're not going to get one that way. Stock games are SDT & probe & sit on your butt.

I still like the idea of Moo edits but w/ doubled cit times. Maybe Poker. Heck, anything but stock. Moon patrol w/ 1.5x cits or KI w/ no asteroid and 1.5x cits.

i talked to vulcan.. since we are all torn on an edit.. he is going to pick one at random, along some simple guidelines.. and keep it a secret (dont worry, i told him anything but Ancients)

BY THE WAY i've heard the start date is March 1st, that puts it 2 days away (ewww Ender can count) so when is the start time? I understand its on Vulcans server, how about an addy where we can see all the teams, sectors, start time, and addy?? And any general rules? Like no switching corps, no blah blah blah.
