This is a game and how it was designed for play, cheating (mega-corping) is a problem in everygame u play, there will always be cheaters. But the more cheaters that arive, will decrease the number of ligitement players. Its a fact of life.

The alien farming bug is something you don't want to get involved in, players frown on it almost as bad as megacorping. And it is a cheezy way to get planet resources filled too.

If you do the bug then do not get caught at it or the player/s may hunt you down and make life rough for ya.

Just my .02 on it.

if you pop planets in alien space, they will fill it up for you.
again, only no talent losers use it.

In any case, I thought I would borrow Traitor's definition of mega-corping. This thread could go on forever unless we agree on a definition anyway, which is really kinda pointless.

Megga-corp or Multi-corp: Two or more corps that are working together. Usually they will have blues on one corp, and reds on the other (often the red corp will have a single blue furber in it.) This eliminates some of the pesky problems with Mixed-corping, in that your blues don’t need to worry about alignment. Cash transfers are done at the SD by the blue furber in the evil corp transferring cash to the other corp through the bank. Or on planets that have only a lv 1 citadel. Often these multi-corps will setup shop in deep bubbles, with the back sector reserved for their red corp, then the next sector a DMZ, where figs and cash can be exchanged, and the remaining sectors are for the blue corp. Coordinating a multi-corp is usually a bigger headache than a mega-corp, but it does allow for more players on one ‘team’. On a six man ‘team’ there will typically be 2 blues in the ‘blue’ corp, and 3 reds and one blue in the ‘evil’ corp. Of course, if you have more players, then you can add them where you see fit. So, it would seem, if we use this definition, that a "mega-corp" would be two corps agreeing to work together as an alliance, sharing assets and thus effectively having one corp though with two names (and a little bit of light stepping on the grid). I've never thought about this as cheating, but I guess that would ultimately be up to the SysOp to determine the rules for it. Makes me think about that for Deep South....wouldn't be a bad rule to post.

point where noobs are being told this is ok to do this! I wish you
Sysops post it in the rules along with the Dupeing rule. and any
other rules. I have corp with a few players not to long ago, and thay were trying to find the rules to the server, and discusing
what was not in rules and what thay can get way with! I dont play
with them anymore. point is Alien Farming I belive goes on in every

I like the way this all got turned on me, Jester has been following me from board to board thinking he is the greatest, and i am sick of it. I can't believe honorable players play with him, much less jump in and talk smack for him.

guess what, you want to play a fun unlim? do it with 65k turns and no aliens.
that gives you *almost* infinite turns, and it removes all the known bugs from play.
of course, then there are the horribly gay unlim edits... but that is a whole nother rant.
