I will side with Slim on the subject on how he was treated by Master Blaster in the game that was not a game,I don't know Boh much tho, but I do know Casper, and if he stands by Boh then she is okay in my book for now, but her familiarity to MB leaves a bad taste, but I can overlook that, what gets me is how MB done Slim, that and that alone is why I put my .02 in each time I post on it, Some of you may mistake me for the Vulcan that was in Crunchers place and others, that is not me, he came later as did 2 others, yes I keep track, I am the first, I also went by Ghost Ryder, also Ghost or Ryder, and my brother Went by Incubus, Tempest and Adamanitne, but that is the past, we have returned like many others, I have started my own server and go out of my way to keep games in order for my players and work dilligently to improve on the games for them, to me its about them, the players, ask any of my players and they will tell you I run a clean and fair server,and I get really riled when a sysop does what happened to Slim and puts him in a super hot sector and makes fun of it. All he had to do is simply tell him he is banned and for why, how hard is that?

I don't like how MB handled the situation, if I have a problem with a player, I let them know what it is they done that was a nono, and if they keep it up, I let them know they will be banned, and only ban them if it is needed. But will give the player a chance to redeem himself and let him back in the server, and have had to only ban one player in the time my server has been up. ANd that was only because he tried to tell me how i had better run my server to suit him, even then I held my cool and just banned him until he got real and level headed, then let him back on later, and he has been a great player since, and that player was my own brother! Who now is a good supporter of my server and helps the Newbs as they arrive and helps my site and relays messages to me from players when they have problems and I am not available because of college.

The point I am making is this, even I know Slim can get riled at times and get to insert foot in mouth sometimes, but he always appologizes when he is wrong, and strongly defends himself and others when he feels he is right. For this I respect him for it, and hope to play him on a board someday when school allows me a little free time. I think he and his Corp had murdered my servers reps in the BOTE, lol, but that is T-Wars! But to have what happened to him is wrong no matter what, I am looking at this from a sysops point of view, and this incident maks it look bad for all sysops. So I am speaking out on it, I want the players to know that not all sysops don't act this way, and that if they don't like a board there are others out there, like Vader's place and Vid's, that has a long history of being great servers, just to name a couple.

Blaster talk all you want, but I am the original. I started this handle when I was in the military as well as Ghost Ryder, and had them ever since 1978 and used them on a lot of BBS's,then came telnet and the whole thing changed and I had to adapt, and did. ANd it is obvious that I don't mind others using it, and the ones I tracked down found me, by coming to my server to play.

BTW the reason no one has heard much from me for a long time, was where I was. And I am definitely sure you couldn't handle it there. You try being in prison for years in Closed Max Security and see how you feel. It gives you a whole new perspective on life, and if you think Slim can get abusive you haven't begun to scratch whats under my skin. I usually don't tell the General pop where I have been because they usually don't understand what it was like, but I am not afraid to tell it at all, since then I have been putting myself through college and bettering myself, as well as working at a great job that pays well, and they know my history, and if you can't take a little flamming then you need a life, I have fun with the flaming contests and participate as per my mood, and right now my mood is dark, and really don't care what you think of me or really what anyone thinks, I am not in this to be anyones buddy, although I have made friends with a lot of people here, and in other forums as well as my server, and they almost all know what I have been through, to me it all is temporary when you don't know when or how long you have to live! So I make the best I can out of it, I have a blood disorder that can kill me with a clot at any time. And keep on going knowing this!

I have been sort of flamed by Slim,(we were talking about Slim wern't we?).Well not really flamed, I posted a question and he came to my server to help me out. Then let me know what I was doing wrong that would hurt the server. I take his word for it. He has a lot of experience playing in the NEW era. I too played TW back in the day we didn't have internet.I ran A bbs. Things have changed and we(the old timers) must change with them. Yes I dislike scripts. Yes I suck at them. BUT I want to play the game and I am learning all I can about scripts. As far as ship delays. Won't find them on my server, so I agree with Harley on that point 100%. So My server has been getting molded as I learn what players and other SYSops do on games. My server and I have changed for the better thanks to mostly everyone here. As far as playing on MB's server. My ip is at the bottom, ban it please.
I have more to say but that will came when I learn how to express myself better without repeating other people. . *drools down chin*

Sorry about the mood, I was facing a surgery that if it went wrong, my life was at stake, and I have to be very careful of the things I do now, I had to have some serious blood clots removed from me before they dislogged and killed me, I have what Doctors call a Factor 5 Mutation of my blood, no cure no nothing, what it means is my blood can clot for any and no reason, and be fatal to me, I have to live with it and will. The only part I hate is taking the blood thinners. I am still groggy from the meds and surgery and it seems all is okay for now, and I hope to be out of the hospital and back to my puter, my bro's laptop just isn't enough for me,( maybe with a little tweaking!!!) lol.

Anyway I try to not call names myself and don't like to lose my temper with people, and loosing it over a post that Master Blaster posted about me was uncalled for from me, but I had a lot on my mind at the time.

But I do have a temper when provoked enough, and don't like letting it out on people, so to all the peeps I made friends with and to all, if my outburst offended any, I am sorry.

Having been a sysop before I usually sympathize with their angle, but in this case, good grief. [:O] I don't think any sysop, no matter how loyal he might be to his fellow hobbyists, could sympathize with the "accused" in this instance. The conduct alone tells me who's full of it (and, frankly, themselves).

It's pretty sad that someone supposedly harking from way back in the day would conduct themselves this way. No self respecting sysop would ever do such a thing when I operated a board, and I never even heard of anything like this. People like you give the rest a bad name and that's absolutely deplorable. With regards to taking IPs to ban, I'd toss mine into the hat but giving my IP address to someone like MB just doesn't seem like the brightest idea. [;)]
