Nah got one better i started calling my electronic stores (Circuit City, Best Buy, and Staples) my homeworld...I told a friend we had to get to homebase to pick up some print cartrages once...

I had a boss once who accepted that as a valid reason to be late.

I was recovering from surgery and was so whacked on pain meds I started playing Twar. Wife came into the room and stood there watching my fingers twitching on my belly and asked what's wrong? I said nothing..just playin Twar. It was so real I had to get into my game first thing when I got home to see if I really did what I thought I did. We STILL get a chuckle out of that.

How about sending your kid to room for an hour timeout and try photoning them with your TV romote to make sure they stay there and be more careful using their turns when they come back out! [:D]
