I recently played 3 days in a high turns game. I never saw such a group before. You would have they were the elite of TW they way they went on. I thoght we were doing quite well when the game was suddenly banged for no stated reason.

Shrug, they talked the talk, but when it came to walking the walk... well who knows, the game was banged.

Point is. When i play peeps "i" consider elites. there's less talk and more podding going on. Sometimes (rarely) I get to pod someone.

Ok I am wondering Why Colo and SSMing 24/7 would make you a bad Butt anyways? Why did you come up with that? In a unlimited turn game it is a must to make Figs and Cash. Even the some of the best do it (Alexio, Loki and etc.) But hey you might be right Harley, I think you would win the game everytime if you just sat there and didnt SSM or COLO. As for everyone else This Subject is over, and what it comes down too is Feral cried, Loki yawned, Res, didnt smack talk (huh?) and I got the last Word.

Ya I would like to see a list of these so called elites and a list of the Major Games that get played Feral. You sure your not just assuming someone thinks there elite cause they post that there better than someone else?

Check twlinks.com... the major game section I believe... should be a list there. Dunno if the winners of those games are posted. But if so, some of the players who won are among the best in the game...IMHO.

Oh, they have to accept it when they are sitting in a pod, or when they see themselves sitting back at the game menu with a confused look on their face wondering what the heck happened! (State I often find myself in I must confess)!

I don't disagree with you that this has become the game you have described, but I am feeling nastalgic these days, and my mind goes back to a time when a Tradewar was a battle of money and control, when two corporations duked it out to see who could corner the market.

Certainly, there has always been the combat, but that wasn't all there was to the game (as it is now).

The game was a lot more fun back then (for those of us who don't have the "killer" instinct). There was strategy involved. Massive scripting and almost instantaneous ZTM maps, and three guys sharing not only each other's explored list, but also able to manipulate each other's characters using remote scripts, took all the strategy out of the game.

Once upon a time it was more like chess, and in chess, just arbitrarily killing as many of the opponents pieces as you can as fast as you can will only get you check mated!

Sigh.... but, let's face it, those days are gone forever, just as sure as the days of sitting by a campfire getting stoned and playing acoustic guitars!

Geez I'm feeling old tonight. Rock on all you script running killers, don't worry, even if all the others cut and run, I'll still be in there plodding along with my slow moving scripts, and there will always be people like me to kill

Even in today's games, you can't just arbitrarily try to kill everything that moves and hope to win against another opponent as good as you are. The reason that people get this idea is that in a lot of games there is a vast difference in skill levels. If you have an opponent that is always running a script to blast everything that moves, there are several things you can do to make it backfire on him, assuming you make the same amount of resources as he does.

example: i was at dock chillin, and krimsonblade warps in, i shoot at him, hit him 2 or 3 times before he lands on dock he blasts and lands, im still there waitin for him so big12 warps in (he is fedsafe) so i land (being red) i know that big is runnin his FED KILLA script targeting Slim Shady.. i blast off, and land a bit slow, he hits me once. he isnt fedsafe, i call in angus to dock, poof goes big12 heh
