http://tw2002.8m.com/ships/ferrengi.htm
quote:
COMPUTER READOUT:
The Ferrengi Scorpion is a new class of ship recently sighted near the outpost of Rylos. Although only one is known to exist, this extremely dangerous ship appears resistant to almost all Federation technology. All commissioned Captains and civilians are advised not to engage these craft until furthur research has been completed.
KOZAK'S ADVICE:
The Scorpion will appear at about Day 90 in the MBBS version of Tradewars. It is piloted by the Ferrengi Overlord. As the Computer Readout reports, the Scorpion is resistant to Federation technology, and you cannot attack him while piloting any Federation-type ship. Fighter attacks are repelled, and if you attempt to fire a Photon Torpedo at the Scorpion, it will simply bounce back at you.
Anecdotal evidence has suggested that the Scorpion may be attacked if you are piloting another captured Ferrengi ship. The Dreadnaught is the best choice for such an attempt.
The Overlord in the Scorpion will disrupt Traders' Sector fighters, converting them into Ferrengi Fighters. He is resistant to Mines, Quasar Cannon fire and Interdictor Generators. He can do a cakewalk right into your Home Sector if you are not careful.
Scary, you need a Ferrengi ship to cap his Scorpion ship. Everything else he is resitant to. Can send the Photon Torps right back at you. Can take over your figs and is immune to quasar blasts and mines.

Player 1: " Did you hear about the new ship the scorpion?"
Player 2: " No what is it"
Player 3: "There is no such thing"
Player 1: " Yes there is it took my Havok out!" " Even an ISS cant Take it out"
Player 2: " No way!!"
So it went hehe yea those were the days...... I was Dam good at Yar's Revenge on my Atari 2600 too.

AeSoo mentioned the scorpion and said he remembered "those days" in which I interpreted to mean what Orion Blaster and graz were talking about... regarding cabal and romulans... which I don't remember at all. So I assumed those most of been around before I started playing version 1.03 or so.
Then I took a long break like most people, and somewhere in between the scorpion ship showed up... I guess no one knows exactly when.

There were alien race add-ons to the old door versions.

I absolutely agree that there should be less, if not NONE, of the profanity that is so prevalent online. I remember dealing with people who freely admitted that they like to flame people just to get a huge, angry argument started. That's not the way to deal with people. I say that if you treat someone online differently than you would IN PERSON, you shouldn't be talking to that person. It isn't cool to be a bully online due to the anonymity it confers.

As the Grimy Old Trader Says "Don't talk that way, save it for somethin' else." Or something close to that.

No, I meant a witty, scathing remark. This just made me laugh. The kind of insult I'm talking about would actually piss someone off/make someone feel bad.
