i checked that server
lag is terrible and the game is 15k sectors and like 6k ports i think, 250 turns with 9k empty sectors, i dont think anyone in here has the patience for a game like that
My god, more whining and complaining. Sheesh. I'd hate to see what you'd do if you had to play in a -real- game. I mean, a game where ports aren't just handed to you left and right, where you have to keep track of your pairs and when they're going to be usable again. A game where you have to track your busts, and you have to move your cashing zones (unless you have multiple reds, in which case you can just bust clear).
You players are so spoiled. It's funny to hear players complain about how newbs whine about so much stuff, when really, y'all are -no- different. You just whine about different stuff. ;o)

CSG
thats what we call a corbo bomb, when we quit a game we either CBY or sell our ships for scouts and load up on corbo
though you lived and that kinda irritated me, your ship must hold a lotta shields least i took out 21k figs heh
surprised you even attacked me, that was pretty dumb, cost you 21k figs, but i guess in an all TWA game y'all dont have to worry about stuff like that

The only reason its a twa game is because our supierior play causes others like you to quit..lol
that wasnt even 1 reds turns worth of fighters.. and if ya read the edits the ship had 8 k shields on it and a defensive rating of 6 to 1.
lol sorry you wont be back , I would enjoy podding you some more..

hahaha first time i heard someone take pride in killing a corbo bomb
hey rave, i'm sorry but a game with 9k empty sectors with 250 turns doesn't apeal to me, why in the hell would i play a game like that with a bunch of better servers out there? In that game you could very well play for a week and not find a single port, whats the fun in that.

What's dumb about eliminating the competition? I'd say it was pretty dumb to get your whole corp #SD#. There are only a couple corps in that game who are a remote threat to us, you were one of them until you chickened out. If you actually knew how to play, you'd have kept out of our way, building your strength until you had a chance to hit us where we're vulnerable. Instead you opted to go out in a blaze of glory at Stardock. Fine, if that makes you feel better. But I've got news for you: nobody's impressed, and I guarantee nobody feels sorry for you.
I think Rave is right – you want the game handed to you, or you don't want to play.

Yes I did not play in USO, I didn't have the time to run a game of that size when I'm in the middle of buying a house and moving. Just bad timing. But your wrong dude, I'm not a "script kiddie" and I only login to unlim games to enjoy seeing the script kiddies kill people off in a few minutes, Unlim games are pointless, they require little to no skill to play.
Rave, per our chat on Vidsworld, you say you want to take on EVERYONE and your going to play solo? Well I'll take that challenge, I'm sure we'll find plenty of people to put you down in the first day.
One, your 250 turn 15k sector joke isn't going to cut it. Here is what I suggest.
5,000 sectors, 700 turns, MBBS mode, on fast server. You suggest Hardcoded or Chicken Coop. (Col Sander or Silver Dragon, you want to host it?) 5 hour time limit, bust clear daily. Stock Ships, Stock Settings for eqp costs, Regen no higher then 33%
You are the TWA corp deployed to the game, you abide by all TWA rules as well as your own imposed rule of running solo.
We kill you and then you get some humility and learn that one person might be good but can't be as good as a gang of people.
-Haolemon, cashmon of the year.

I dont see your name in the USO team list... I wonder why prolly cause you are an unlimited turns script kiddie. Until you have played at that level

speaking of knowing how to play, y'all couldn't even get on your feet in USO so i dunno why your talking also, thats the exact same phrase i heard from dartanian and his buddies after we took all his crap. They didnt' come back for the rebang, i wonder why?

USO was our first game together, and admittedly we made some dumb mistakes. We took the lessons learned there and applied them to this game. Now, I don't particularly like the edits either. We're only in this game because we were challenged by someone. But anyone can take advantage of the edits. We're not denying access to SD like we could be, and we're not mercilessly killing newbs (except a couple who messed with our figs while we were online, and we gave them money to make up for it.) I don't see what anyone is bitching about. Either give it your best and let the chips fall where they may, or shut the hell up.

You are right we didnt... I admittedly made a big mistake on day one and as CEO took the responsibility for it...
This team wasnt put together till a few days before bang.. we learned alot in that tournement.. ### EDIT Mandorellen scored the first #SD# I scored the Second #SD# in the game. END EDIT ### Thanks Kemper
Look for us in the next major.. you will be at the top of our hit list..
Look for us on some different servers as we work out our strategy.. the team you see in the coast games game A is pretty much what will be in HHT and BOTE...
P.S. Ill play anywhere there is competition... and a turns limit less than 2000, unlike your selective game requirements.

I'm -more- than sure you'll be able to find plenty of people that would like to put me in my place. I can think of a couple dozen that would probably -like- to teach me a lesson in humility, if only they had the cajones and the mad mass skillz to pull off such a coup.

This is more than acceptable to me. I would prefer the game be hosted on Chicken Coup, only because there seems to be a overnight lag issue on HardCoded lately. Not sure if its the server or Silver Dragon's ISP that's responsible for this, and it -is- very rare, but I'd rather not deal with it if at all possible. I'll talk to Colonel Sanders... eh, right now and get a game banged. ;o)

This is a given. Wouldn't have it any other way. If you -really- think I need to bring and team and -want- me to bring a team, I will, but otherwise, it'll just be me against you and whoever else shows up.

No, no... you haven't figured this out yet, have you? Y'all come to play the game, and y'all leave in body bags.
(Seriously, I might not live to brag about this being one of my more intelligent exercises, but Darn, it'll be fun and I'll take a couple y'all with me... I hope... hehe.)

Game will be banged tonight. Am working with Rave on settings, you can trust the settings will be similar to Hooman's proposed settings, but a touch more balanced. Since Rave will be taking on everyone, its only fair we balance it just a wee bit. Will post again soon with the settings...

Actually, negative on some of these settings, as they give a tremendous advantage to teams. TWGS/GOLD instead of MBBS. The megarob feature under MBBS supports teams far too easily (blues buydown, single red clears). I'll take the 1 day bust clear as it helps a solo player far more than it helps a team, who can use bust clearing to always stay in the same work zone anyways.
No time limit. Again, this supports team play, as a team can arrange their online time to always provide defensive scripting capability for their base. Whereas a solo player doesn't have that luxury.
Since 700 turns is approximately 3 x the default game settings...
Starting Colos = 30000 (3 x 10000 default)
Colo Regen = 750 (3 x 250 default)
Port Regen = 15% (3 x 5% default)
I'll give you unlimited corp size so you can bring in as many players as you like without having to worry about sharing assets between various smaller corporations.
I'll leave it up to Sanders to figure out the remaining edits. Feel free to shoot a counterproposal my way.

Port regen 15%, bust clear 1 day, TWGS mode, 5000 sectors, 700 turns, photon from fed off, colo regen 750 per day, starting colos 30k, Photon duration 1 second to start game, will increase by 1 second every week, until week 4. Photons will remain at 4 seconds at that point. Multiple photon fire on.
These are the basic settings, will post any last minute changes here.
Also, corp size will be unlimited, or max, whataver number that may be... heh.. And, I will be upgrading to .55 for this.
RAVE Vs. THE WORLD!!!! Wow, I feel like Don King, now if only I can get Rave to tear someone's ear off with her teeth... heh
Game bangs tonight, will probably be open tonight as well, check this forum for updates, as soon as game is open I will post in this thread...
