I was kind of hoping Sage would chime in but no response. Is this thread messing with all the other current activity on the forum? I was looking for an answer but as usual we have a troll that is just trying to get it locked by name calling and such. Probably why he is no longer a mod over OD.

The point of the thread is to get Sage to look into this and make a ruling... but since he tends to ignore most everything except posting rebangs odds are he never will.

If you wanted Sage to look into it you would have used his ICQ to report it. I posted his ICQ on FedComm for you, you know the part of the conversation that wasnt posted here. Still waiting for your question....

T0y, I understand you got your feelings hurt, thinking I podded you then killed you knowing it was you. The fact is, I didn't know it was you until you posted here. I have told you again and again. Xanos threw the first rock and he knows it. Thats why his comment was directed at Sage, not at me.

I never called you a dupe, I called Smoke a dupe because he came in to the game right after weed (xan) was SD and joined with weed's corp. My first comment to smoke was to call him a 'dupe boy" because of that behavior. You chose not to identify yourself. You chose your behavior here. When I sent you a PM, rather that deal with this as an adult, you posted my PM in the thread. You called me a cheater like some n00b who has no understanding of the game. You continue to overlook your part in this, taking no responsibility for your actions. Grow up.

I never got my feelings hurt, I understand it is a game and I was playing by the rules. It's easy to pod/SD when your out hunting people worldtrading in open space and they playing as if there was a "truce". You are the only one that seems to be all upset about someone saying there was a rules violation. We reported on ICQ, Email and here.... NOTHING.

Maybe you should take time and ask someone before assuming everyone is a dupe just because someone else showed up in the game. I know it is hard to understand but there are more than 5 people playing it is possible someone else logged in.

Oh and I posted the entire log if you care to read so I left nothing out. I am done with it. Keep yapping I won't respond your just not worth my time.

Just for the record, UTW is my hobby dedicated to the Preservation of Tradewars and like all hobbies, it’s supposed to be fun. I don't enjoy being a policeman or playing GOD in these game disputes and I really don't want to be put in the middle of an argument. I just want to say that the truce rules are clearly posted on the UTW Website in the forum and observing the truce rules makes the game better for all the players involved. Everyone playing in Game G is a regular who has played multiple times on UTW. I feel it's important to treat you all with the respect that you deserve and it is my greatest desire that you ALL enjoy the time you spend playing on my server.
If an accidental kill happens during a truce, get together and fix the problem: for example, buy the damaged player a new ship and apologize. I will always put a player back into a game immediately for an accidental truce kill. If you suspect a dupe, contact me on ICQ. I’m reposting the truce rules below. Please read them.




TRUCE RULES:

THE PURPOSE OF A TRUCE: To allow all players to establish themselves in the game and prepare themselves for battle, free from attack and/or harassment from other players. VIOLATION OF TRUCE POLICIES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS!

TRUCE times vary in each game, depending upon the type of game and for those players who can't count on their fingers or toes, if a game has a 3 day truce; this means hostilities don't begin until the "V" says Day 4.

NO COMBAT is permitted during the truce period. This includes, but is not limited to, offensive port destruction, nav haz traps, roach motels, retaliation for past perceived wrongs, etc., etc.
I am not going to list each and every way that combat during a truce can occur. Suffice it to say that if it is combat, it is prohibited.

NO COMBAT against other PLAYERS is permitted. Alien combat is permitted. Trapping another player with a ship interdictor is considered combat and not permitted. For those of you who are TRUCE IMPAIRED, capping and podding is also considered combat. Invading another player’s planet is considered combat. Alien planets, once acquired, and in a home sector, are truce protected.

NO INDIRECT COMBAT: Players using aggressive gridding scripts that invade another player’s home sector during a truce is a TRUCE VIOLATION. Killing all of that player’s defensive figs in their home sector and as a result, cause that player to fuse while colonizing, is a TRUCE VIOLATION. IF YOUR SCRIPT IS UNABLE TO OBSERVE THE TRUCE, DO NOT USE IT OR RISK GETTING A PENALTY BAN FROM 1 TO 3 DAYS!

SINGLE TOLL OR DEFENSIVE FIGS are permitted and may be placed in space lanes during the truce period but NOT accompanied by Armid Mines.

LIMPET MINES are permitted.

DEFINITION OF A FRONT OR HOME SECTOR: Any sector located in the entrance of a "dead-ended" tunnel or bubble where you have placed your planets can be defined as a truce protected home sector during the truce period.
You may defend that front sector with all available resources, with one exception, NO INTERDICTING . The Defendable Front Sector of your Home Tunnel or Bubble is determined by where your first line of planets are located, and not by the physical entrance of your tunnel or bubble.

FORTIFYING YOUR FRONT SECTOR with all available resources with one exception, Interdicting, during the truce period is permitted, including mines, defensive or offensive figs and planet cannon fire and if another player INVADES your home sector with an aggressive gridding script during a truce and your planets BLOW THEIR SHIP TO ALL TO HELL………That is NOT a Truce Violation. HOWEVER, if you then kill their pod, that IS a truce violation and while they may be getting right back into the game, You will surely be leaving for spell!

COLONIST REPLACEMENT POLICY: Colonists will be replenished generally around 7pm Eastern U.S. Time

RULE CONFLICTS: If there is a conflict in any of these rules, the SPIRIT of the rule shall prevail over the WRITTEN rule. The Sysop is the final arbiter of the spirit or interpretation of any rule. If any of these are broken, corrective action may be taken. The penalty will be commensurate with the offense. If you persist, then you may be banned from playing here.

While I have had my issues with Sage in the past over that darn perpetual game that is no gone, I agree with his statement. No need for him to police the game. The rules are posted over, and over again. In any case there seems to be a lot of hostility. Can't we all just get along?
