I'm not a script writter, so I must rely on the ingenuity of others. I just mentioned it because we ran accross that setting up a private game on my server. Everyone may not be aware that they need to adjust or create scripts to use the new option. Just putting it out there so it's not a "surprise" to anyone who does not know. Full disclosure of new features vs old scripts sort of info, don't ya know. BTW I've asked T0yman and Xanos about learning to write TWX scripts, and both have told me it's best to NOT learn TWX yet, not as long as I'm in school learning more "commercial" languages. This term just XHTML, C# and a lot of syntax type commands/filters for Access db management. Oh yeah, and a lot of command line IP managemnt now too. There's only so much new informaton you can load onto an old HD! LOL

What do you mean 'we' kemosabi? The features that john adds are for the game ops not the players. Though he tries to not effect scripts, it happens. A game password is only good for a friendly game, useless for a tourney game. Players will vote for the game password feature with their feet if they are not heard by the operators, hopefully the game ops will listen to the player's requests with the same attention John gives to the game op's requests. H You still must enter the game password when exiting as well as entering. That was reported, but not yet fixed. http://classictw.com/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=32936 Just an FYI for the players coming in tonight.

Re: Looking for a Host (boo v. boo)
It would make more sense to me, if you only had to enter the game password when creating a new player. That way only the script that creates the new player account would be effected, and normal login scripts would not need to be modified.

Re: Looking for a Host (boo v. boo)
I can remove it if you wish, and then close the game later. I've heard of no aditional changes, so the game should be set to go.

Re: Looking for a Host (boo v. boo)
Toy has made the game pw login script available to all Boo, Inc. members. I think we're good. This is more a reminder to use the scritp T0yman wrote. Yeah, it's a "work-around" for a feature that's not quite working yet. We don't know when everyone will be in, some tonight and some won't be in until tomorrow some time. If you're going to close it, I'd wait to hear from the team leaders first to make sure everyone is in that wants to play. Thanks again for hosting this. I love your server, it's nice and fast for me.

Re: Looking for a Host (boo v. boo)
RP,
Not sure if this is a change to your TWA, but no TL= limit please. And if 2.19 forces a password on exit I can see complications. Can you do a two day lock? Where Sunday is the day we lock it down, till then I'll report anyone who trys to ruin our fun, assuming we don't SD them first.
Thanks
