Re: UTW - Anyone heard from Sage?
I don't think so. I did notice 1 thing though. Big D who's account was suspended or something has no date on the last time he logged him. Same thing with Sage. Obviously two totally different people. Before I switched to this ID my other id I had put as inactive. It also had no last log in date. Perhaps Sage made it this way and did not bother to tell anyone. Interesting......

Re: UTW - Anyone heard from Sage?
the reverend wrote: sage == sg? I've had the same thoughts. Sage's last login was the 17th of Feb, and his last post was the 13th. I'm not sure why the "last visited" doesn't show up there in his general profile. But the IPs don't match at all. Sage's IPs are all from Florida ISPs (DHCP assigned), and the pattern isn't consistent with proxies. Conversations I've had with SG also don't really fit that pattern. So I don't think that's the case. Still, gotta wonder what's going on. I doubt Owen knows what's going on, that's probably why he's not commenting. When was the last time anyone saw UTW up?

Re: UTW - Anyone heard from Sage?
I dont have any dates.. I know its been several weeks. It was down for several days, back up for several days, then back down again for this extended period. Someone probably has some better dates.. but as sing said.. when I talked to Sg it was a whole different type of conversation and attitude than when I talked to Sage. could have been practicing acting classes though

Or maybe Sage lost his job and couldn't afford to keep the box up, is temporarily offline, and thus can't respond. Re: UTW - Anyone heard from Sage?
The last file I have for UTW is from 23JAN11... However, it was shortly after that when my computer died and I was offline for a week or 2... When I got back online, 21FEB11, UTW was gone and hasn't been seen since... Comet reported that the site had been down for about 5 days on 19FEB11 if that helps...

Right, so that places the downtime around Sage's last post on the 13th, then? Linky: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=30958

How does UN Owen fit in the picture?? isn't he the owner/renter of the server? sage is the op? Im not sure. but if that is the case.. you would think Owen would have access or at least be able to find out why the server is down. and if sage was just the op, that would make you think the server would still be up.. just no bangs etc etc. unless sage got mad at owen and deleted everything.

Re: UTW - Anyone heard from Sage?
But if that were the case, I would think that one or the other would come on here and offer some sort of explanation... Or answer an email or PM...
It just seems odd that an op, an admin and a game server can all just disappear like that... Usually, especially with game servers, there is some warning...

Re: UTW - Anyone heard from Sage?
We lose people without warning and never know what happened in many cases. I know Sage and SG were friends. Sage and I clashed on many things, but I would hate to think something happened to him, and would rather think he got tired of dealing with the BS. If something did indeed happen, I would hope that UN Owen would let us know - his lack of posting would seem to indicate that the server was just taken offline (again, hoping that over something bad happening). Some prefer just to melt away without any fanfare.
I remember hearing about Bob passing away, but didn't really know him or play against him. I had heard he was a pretty good player, and a good guy to corp with.
