There are definately more servers that are not listed on Stardock than servers that are. If you count V3.09 games, I know of about 60 BBS's that still have games running and I'm pretty sure my list is no where near complete.

Thanks all... I have been screwing around a bit on servers I have found. Definitely rusty. What is up with TWGS 2.0? Is that released... as a beta? I see the link to it but the download page just says coming soon. Thought I may setup my own game and play local to figure some things out.

Question about the "social" games or "builders" games... what do those mean? What are the settings that differentiate them?

I have SWATH which had just come out the last time I played for real, so I am a bit familiar with that but not in doing much for scripting. Just pair trading and robbing and such.

You will want TWXProxy...most scripts are written for that.

Dont worry...Its free and so are the public scripts for it. which are vast in number and function.


The BUilder/Social games are geared towards Building/Pionts and usually have Aliens for amusement.
Its a Lower Aggression game with limit grid allowed and sweeper scripts to keep the areas around Fed cleared so new people can get in easily. They are not Truces tho so don't run around and kill other peeps figs and dont hang at dock unless fedsafe.

SG is right. You have to put yourself into the Stardock TWGS Search.

I decided a long time ago from auto-listing servers. For the very reasons Parrot suggested. Some just want a low-key game. They should be allowed that.
