There is no greater compliment than to have your corpies agreeing that you were most valuable to the team. This is the first time I've seen Kemper3 do something like this so to me it's saying a lot.

I can write a program to parse that from the daily logs pretty quickly. It won't be quite perfect, though, since I'll be working off the logs on the Corp Wars site. Any kills/deaths in the last minute of each day will be missed since the last cap for each day was around 23:59:15.

Well one of the problems with that is that furbing and personal ship loss show up in the logs the same as kills do. Also, the website doesn't have the very first day's log up on the site. If I'm feeling bored tomorrow, I'll dig through my TWX logs and come up with an informal count, just for giggles. I (hopefully) will be able to remember most of which were manned and unmanned ships. I also won't count Q kills from pdrops, just because I would have no way to know who to atribute those to.

I can easily filter for furbing since those will involve kills between teammates, which I would just ignore. I would have no way of avoiding counting the destruction of unmanned personal ships that belong to another corp's member, however. No method of which I'm aware can avoid that issue. Not sure how you could get around that, either, except for your own personal kills. Same with q-can kills; impossible to know who was driving. But it would at least be semi-accurate, and could be interesting to see the informal numbers.

I didn't realize the game started on 6/26. Ah, yes, there it is. Approx 3-4 hours of logs are missing, yes.

OK, I ended up being bored tonight and went through my personal TWX logs to get data from the first day (the one that doesn't have logs on the TCW site). I'm gonna post my counts, but tell you how I got them first. I did not count corpie kills. I also did not count Q kills since there was no way to who (if anyone) did the drops. I did count kills from planet dets (again, except for corpies). When dealing with possible personal ships, I used my memory and discretion. These are by no means official counts, I just did it to satisfy my own curiousity. So, without further ado, heres my kill counts:

This is just for fun, folks. Lots of very good players aren't listed here or are shown with a "low" number of kills, but keep in mind that kills are far from everything. The game MVP only had 2 kills, but there should be no doubt in anyone's mind that Speed Demon fully deserved MVP honors.

Edit: I also didn't count cbys at all. In addition, kills against players who's corp had conceded were not counted.

Since Psion beat me to posting kill data, I'll post useless trivia about the game. It's all sorted by username instead of counts, cuz I didn't feel like adding the couple of lines of code to sort it by counts. [:P] LOL, enjoy!

Cool, I det'd more planets than any other blue I also had a lot more kills than I thought. Thanks guys for posting those stats.

My kill data won't be as accurate as Psion's since: a) I didn't bother counting det kills (my parser is line-by-line and it would've taken more work to process a multiline event), and b) I don't have the benefit of knowing for certain which kills were against unmanned vessels, so kills vs. unmanned personal ships were counted (unless vs. own corp, of course).

That said, I do have data on who was killed instead of just kill counts, and ship-to-ship combat ratios (only deaths due to destruction at the hands of another player ship-to-ship are counted here, not self-destructs, fuses, q-cans, dets, etc., just as with kills):

In the first statement you thank Maggie for bringing you all those dets for safe busting, you then go on to slamming Psion for sucking and not hitting you at dock. As far as I can remember, the vast majority of reds on our team were safe busting. Get your story straight dude.
From what I remember, you were nothing short of a tool arguing with teamates while we were trying to cash. In fact at one point I was ready to drop corp and pod you myself just to shut you up. Keep up the good work! Bob.
