I doffs me hat and bow in salute to Ahab. He is attentive to his server and keeps a close eye on games in progress and bangs them as needed.... At times the server lags but then there are times when other things need attention...all players suffer equally during those times so it balances. He also has a wide range of games from unlimiteds to midrange to lower turns games that force folks to make decisions as to the value of those turns and how to use them. The only comment I might make is that he makes a change in his entry menu telling folks which games he is playing in and then let it go after that. It gets tiresome reading complaints about folks playing on their server. They paid for the license to set the games...put in the time and effort to keep it interesting for the rest of us...so if they want to play in at least one game or two at their site then let's give them the right! It is hard for ANY gameop to play without complaints piling in from all over...so let's get over it and let them have some fun too!

Ahab is a good gameop and in this particular game he spends a good amount of time training some of the noobs on some of the features of the game. The very fact that he operates the server should speak volumes about his character and his dedication to serving the new TW players. It would be a complete contradiction and waste of money for him to turn around and take advantage of his access/privelidges to exploit the very same people that his server is designed to serve. Get real.

Changing ANYTHING in the game after it is banged is a bad idea. Instead of filling Terra just fill everyones planets! JK.
But filling Terra or changing any natural aspects of game while the game in play will only cause you probs. No matter if you anounce it or not.
Part of the WAR in Trade Wars as I see it is taking others Planets to get colonist when Terra is depleted.
So Ahab if your filling Terra and then proceed to fill your planets with them, That seems unfair to me.

One more time, Bethel, I'll say this. I only keep Terra filled in the novice games and yes, I and my corpies DO get some of them as we can't build without them. Hoever, at the same time, 3 or 4 other Corps are also getting critters so it's not just us 'bogartin' them. Everyone has the same opportunity to colonize so there SHOULDN'T be a problem at all.
