I wasn't trying to be negative in my previous post. But in light of recent events in BG3, heh ... you could never be sure. I'm all for the idea. Count me in. Maybe bang it after this Big Game.

I love the idea and would be interested in playing whether elites are involved or not. I go along with the idea that Desert Fox mentioned, "without any of the elite players how are they going to learn the tricks of the trade that make the elite what they are." I also understand the concept of trying to play against a supream player with little or no chance of defending yourself It is a fine line indeed! I am not familure with what settings the game-op has at his disposal, so my suggestion may not be possible, but if it were possible to limit kills, then the elite players would be forced to teach the newbies on their team to make the kills. If say for example, each account was limited to 10 kills and upon the 11th kill would be eliminated from the game themselves. This would force the elites to conserve their kills. They would be somewhat forced to get their team mates to use their kill quota in order to propetuate the team goals instead of their personal goals. It would force the elites to deligate instead of doing everything themselves.

i think it looks like we should combine vader's proposed game with draconis' game to get the best single game possible. If not tho, i would play both since i'm nothing close to L33t

doitlee, its not possible to limit kills, but if "experienced" players were put in charge of teams, whoever was game op would pick experienced players that they trusted and knew would just do teaching, not run amuck killing all the newbs heh. granted, lets say i was on a team and jhereg was on a team and he started killing all my newbs, i would be forced to kill him, but then i would let my team finish off his team. heh, or maybe i'd kill J just cause im that cool lol
ok, ignore the last few sentances, when i get bored i write silly things, heh

I would recommend that the elite players be invited but as "ambassadors" I know a couple of great players who love to teach, Vid Kid for one. Create 20 or so ambassador accounts and invite them, they can pop in and out as needed.
Vid Kid tried to do things similar to this on his system for a very long time. A "Big Game" type theme would be excellent.

Don't be confused. The leaders of the teams are just as good as the elites. Trust me, you'll learn from high quality players. I won't run a crappy game [:D]

I think Vader has come up with a great Idea and Looks to have good support. I not sure how he is going to come up with a who is and who isn't a so called elite player but will be interesting. giving ambassodor accounts out to other players (elite or others) is not a good idea at all, trust me it will be bad for this game. I will hel;p out anyway i can.

I have a standard of whom will be excluded and who won't. Basically, the excludes generally won't want to play anyway. That aspect, I don't anticipate, won't be a big deal. No one that I would prefer not to play has shown the least bit of interest. There's no real glory in this game. Its made for teaching and growing the skills of a newer group of players. And it'll be fun too.

Also, game will be called "The Corporate Wars". Website is approaching completion. Sign ups will begin as soon as I make it public. FULL edits will be on the website. Also, if I am able to keep it updated, there will be a Death Page and a Kill Page. And I will announce the CEO's a little later on. The number of signups will determine how many teams we have.

ya, personally, if i get to participate, i would like atleast a week with whatever team i am on to make sure they have the very basics down, so when we/i try to explain something not so basic, they dont just say "slim, wtf, you are speaking russian, i have no understanding of wtf you are talking about, what is a script? what is twx? what is a macro? how do i make a planet? i am being attacked what do i do?" etc...
just a thought. now that the cabal is back up, when i teach newer people about aspects of the game, i like to have them atleast skim it so they have a bit better grasp of everything.
just my .02
i wanna be in charge of alpha squadron, Team 1
heh

I trust you RR, but please explain why it would be bad? An Ambassador can't even port and trade. Most commands are denied to them. About all they can do is fly around and talk on the channels.

ambassador has access to information that a regular player does not have. if you dont know what i am talking about, create one in a game and enter the game. see what you can do.

Just in case everyone hasn't figured it out, this game we are discussing here is now ready for signups. Here is a thread about it with a link to sign up in it.
