Well....that being said, Survey and I took a teeth kicking. Of course we were severely outnumbered and a tad outclassed (Grim, Bud, Xide, Shadow). But we did get dealt with. My bad Survey. I do agree, though. DIFFERENT talents. Sure, there is LOTS more to worry about in a turns game, but it is still difficult to play REAL unlimiteds. I have heard all this smack talk from people about turns though so I am currently playing in two solo games to see. Havent given up a pod in either yet, so maybe they arent as much harder as you guys thought.

heh.....good luck to ya....I know you wont have a problem with the actual gameplay BC....but its the time that will kill you. You are used to quick games....turns might be a little slow for ya.

BOTE is coming up. Perhaps you can represent the server you normally play at. Http://tradewars.fament.com/bote2002/

no worries... I bet bud was pretty proud of himself. just to let you know what happened... after a macro I thought i was back on the planet, but was instead sitting in sector... doh. :)

that game hasn't been the same since loki left anyway... i think most people will agree that the difference between 2 and 3 people in a corp is pretty big. i still think just the 2 of us getting beat as opposed to us and loki is different.

i guess props to bud for getting grim and xide to corp with him... it's not even all that bad losing when you lose a 5 on 2 and you have that level of competition. I learned a lot actually.. platying defense is definetly a weakness... so I got some lessons in that.. and some lessons in invading watching xide come after me. lol
i was impressed.

i got a question, where are the solo games played? if there is one banging soon, or a good one going on, i would love to hear about it.
another question, i dunno about you people, but i started on tradewars when home computers were still rare, my two best friends dads were professors and had computers and after school we would rush home and get onto a local BBS and used our 1 hour on the BBS playin our 500 turns in tradewars, no one else could be in the game at the same time, so we had to log off and log in real fast, also, when extern ran, you couldnt be logged on. those were the days i tell ya, no scripts, no macros, just good ole, slow typing, but it didnt matter, cause you were the only one online. granted, those games are impossible to have now, with so many people wanting to play, but hey, its good to reminise... i really doubt i spelled that right. I think, that it would be fun to have a game, where lets say, 50 people signed up for it, then the sysop would randomly put those 50 players into 10 different corps, and say, hey, this is how it is, no changing, just play, see what the outcome is. that would be one way of showing who is best, cause if you say, break up a perma corp such as Death Star which res claims is the best (i am not disagreeing) and put them on random teams with random people, if say, res's team ended up winning, it might be said that he helped his team succeed (granted, you would have to do this a few times to be able to say that cause if he got stuck with 4 other great players, he could sit and jerk off all day.. wait, let me rephrase, he could go about his daily routine, while others win, ALSO, it would give newbies and non-perma corp members not only a chance to learn and do better, but to give them a chance to learn how it is that "super perma corps" usually end up doing good, and can take that with them, so next time, in another game, they can make a corp, and have people join and say, ok guys, this is how its done... ok, do i still need a parethisis? i rambled for too long.. yes i do) i dont recall what i was saying, and i dont care to go up and re-read what i wrote, i have no air conditioning, and the sweat is blurring my vision anyway. suffice it to say...
