And yes unlimited turns players are beneath Trade Wars players, because while a good Trade Wars player can play in an unlimited turn game if he chooses to run a ssm script for 24 hours straight, no real players do. Unlimited turns games are for people whop can't play normal TW. The game is based on turns incase you hadn't noticed, the option to give unlimited turns was to cater to little shoot em up arcade kids use to playing quake and half life where dying and making bad decsions has no ill effect, and for those players without the skill to manage turns and dominate a game.

When you decide to learn how to play the game and want to play against me in a Trade Wars game, feel free to let me know when... tell you what since you want me to bring a corp i will bring just 1 other player you can have the 5 listed... i'll even agree to really high turns... like 1k

till you learn how to play the game you should keep you nonsence directed at these other yahoo's who think you are good... the real players know what the case really is.

Yep. Anyone can sit down at a computer, load up a WorldTrade, WorldSST or MassColonize script and walk away. That doesn't count as a skill. With such scripts you really don't have to understand the game...

The more limited a resource in a game is, the more difficult the game becomes. Whether its cashing potential, turns, starting colonists, colonist regeneration, whatever. Limit it, and it takes far more skills than a game with no limits.

Gyp, i have no problem admitting anything you want to say about turns games. I havent played them enough to gain any experience at them. The game you posted was a wipeout. The person that got caught running a script and cbyed just so happened to be on our team and have all of our cash and figs on him when it happened. Not very smart on our part I know, but such is life. However, for me NEVER having played in a big game with turns and in seven days or whatever never having given up a death isnt too bad. Bottom line is that i am not good at that type of game and the main reason i have not learned it is because it is B.O.R.I.N.G. compared to unlimiteds. I will say again that the arcade style is way more fun to me. I like to kill. Period. I dont really enjoy the building part. It bores me. It has always bored me. But at online killing, anytime you want to try it out 2 on 3 (Loki, Turok, and Myself) let me know. There are prolly plenty of guys (xide, grim) that you could get that you could prolly beat us 2 on 3 every now and then. However, i think you would be sadly disappointed if you think you could step in an unlimited and "dismantle or outclass" us just as i know i couldnt do to you in a turns game. But i would love the chance to take you on in a game like you said. Just drop me a line.

you are trying to compare apples and oranges as far as skill. Unlimited games may be fun for you, but they are for script-kiddies, not talented players. You'll never get a team of talented players trying to show you up, because its a waste of time. Glad you're having fun, but the real talents in this game are in a league way over your head.......

I tend to agree with Deamon. It doesnt really take a whole lot of skill to play an unlimited turn game. The real skill comes in when you get to a game with the basic ships, modified planets and 1,500 turns or less to play with. Thats where you get your skilled players. Anybody can go into an unlimited turn game with the mentality of it being a slug match. In a very limited turn game it requires more skill and a lot of strategy.

So come in and beat us then, Pheonix. That is all i am gonna say about it. I am not even a very good unlimited player so come put me in my place guy. Gypsy attacks us by saying we arent any good so we are waiting for someone to show us how bad we are. Come on down and do it.

Daemon, I am not comparing the two games. I know they are completely different. I have no problem admitting that i am not a very good turns player. I also have no problem admitting that it is a more skill based game in turns than in unlimiteds. My only problem was the fact that Gypsy says we suck yet he has never played against me in THAT TYPE OF GAME. Sure i suck at turns. So what. Turns is not what i enjoy playing. I have never said they are the same. But dont say unlimiteds are for script kiddies. Has nothing to do with the differences. I can run a twarp photon script in a turns based game MUCH more effectively than in an unlimited. I can still run a planet drop script in turns too. I believe that there are plenty of scripts designed for turns games that almost EVERYBODY uses (SST, SDF, etc.). So am i to assume that because people use scripts in turns that they are script kiddies? The only script that i use in unlimited that i dont in turns is the Worldtrade and worldssm. You still colonize with a script. You still sst with a script. The game is evolving into a game that utilizes scripts for almost everything. So please dont make it sound like the unlimiteds are bad because scripts are used. The unlimited game is simply a test of who can kill who better. Period. That is why it appeals to me more than a turns game.

Why is it that the same people always win an unlimited? If there is no skill involved, why cant these upstarts with full corps win games. Are they just the most unlucky people in all of twars? Or maybe the people who consistently win them are just the luckiest people. Maybe that is why Grim and Xide dominated the unlimited tourneys in a matter of minutes. They were just lucky. No skill or anything, just pure luck. I dont want you to be scared. I dont claim to be any good at this. But for some idiot that couldnt last more than a couple of minutes in a game to come on here spouting stuff about no skill shows you havent a clue.

Skill? I must not have any to have won 8 of 9 games on that board against some of the most skilled players in the game. For you, about the only thing you might have any skill in is bullsh@!ing people on this board about skills you have never proven to anybody. If you want people to believe you, stop whining and do something about it and stop wasting time making posts that you cant back up. Just some advice from an experienced player.
