TWGSDODGERBBS.ATH.CX IS NOW OFFLINE DUE TO A PROBLEM WITH HARDWARE.
THIS SITUATION WILL BE CHECK AND THE SERVER WILL RESTART AT THE END OF THE WEEKEND.

As it was asked to me, i will adapt the game and rebang it. So this weekend, i got to do hardware and software stuffs.
Precision on ETA will be put on REBANG FORUM.

For those that was playing on my Game A, sorry for the inconvenience, but I still want to have my best edit at is best.

You advertised 1000 turns. We got 500.
V screen says 20 second photon duration but you ripped photons off all the ships.
Time Limit?....What for?

No one is going to PPT with 25 hold ships for 2 days to buy a 100 hold ship in order to PPT for a week to buy enough figs to Risk a cannon blast from a level 3+ planet which look just like a level 1 or 2 planet from the Eprobe.

Photons would allow the player to enter the sector and look BEFORE getting hit with a cannon blast.

Obviously your inability to move without eating a photon has giving you a issue.


You can't make rules or change settings in order to make a bad player into a good one.

Yap. You were well on your way to making a good game but taking photons off the ship and putting a time limit on it or lowering the turns to 500 was not the right direction.



Learn to have BLUE ALIENS and RED ALIENS ONLY. This would allow your no mixed corp rule to work.

Otherwise hitting Alien figs to cap the planets makes you either very RED or Very BLUE fast.

You have not marked the aliens as Red or Blue and therefore we the players can not tell ahead of time.

Go back to the first setting with 1000 turns and 3 second photon like a normal game. Figure out how to fix those alien issues.

You already fixed the colo overcrowding. Correct?

The SUPER Fleet of ships that were hidden were not anything special.
Those ships should have been better than those you can buy.

It was to have player that going throught a new game type and not change bad player or good player in a new kind of player.

It is all in your honor. I began in 1989 and played almost 2 or 3 years on BBS and retry in 2000 and decide to open a TWGS in 2007... but with a lot of thing ot do so i didn't succeed much.

First, my game name is Yop Solo and not Yap.... Yop for the intimate. Thanks for the good comment. I will revise my position to have my game B with some parameters like that... maybe, if somebody doesn't matter that I'm a sysop, I will try to play in it... 1000 turns, it is ok ? I thinks so... with all damage you can do in a game, it is a way to reduce the time before you get there.

Not sure to understand what you meant... sorry, my second language... but it seems to be an alternative to my RED with RED and Blue with Blue.

Right, it's fixed... big citadel = 40% max colo...
smaller : 5% if I'm remembering...

My idea, Katana's fleet is a old republic ship... so, greater value, lesser technology... so it was design to make money faster... But it is an interesting point of view that i will need to explore.

I would like to know more on how you play, maybe with knowledge I will appreciate that way... but Tw2002 for me, it is game of a long term play... so playing often and maybe one year on the same game... But, seriously, and this one is for Vid Kid, did you lose a game in 2009 ?

In this respect, Parrothead, I'm very happy to work on my special edit for you guys. This weekend, i will try to have pass more time to prepare it that write those kind of message lol... See ya.

Ship odds don't affect cannon blasts.

And an lv2 planet looks exactly like an lv4 on the holoscan, that's the point of torping in.

After PPTing in a 25 hold starter ship for a month MAybe you can buy a large ship full of figs.

Unless the Aliens are Labeled as RED or BLUE in some way how can you keep an all blue or all red corp?

There seems to be some basic misunderstanding of HOW aliens work in TW.
ALiens DON'T act like Players.
Aliens are not AI Players.

There behavior and alignment are set by the Flags in your TWGS. However these things are not well documented.

You explained what kind of game you wanted. I tried to help you get there but you went in the wrong direction. BTW a Trophy Planet game will not last a year. Only a Builder Game will last that long.

See the ICE9 builder game or one of similar games on Outpost4.

So a better solution would be give back the fotons and remove probes ? If your going to limit gridding it is the only method to force people to actually use turns to find the planets.

His reason for limiting gridding is to keep from getting pdropped.

Its all spelled out on his web site.

And he does not want mixed corps..which is an issue as the aliens drop piles of figs and cause you to change alignment quickly.

For example the Imperials...which is the Darkside in Starwars were very Blue and flipped me red when I took out some of there figs.

Sorry for a late answer, i was working all the day and the night for the second time this week so, not a lot of time to answer and work on that project... I still have my thirsday late night to spend, friday night and my weekends... when my wife and son are in bed.... So I will try to make it happen as soon as possible. And when i sat on my chair, I found that when I was working this soon morning on the game B twa files, i forgot to reopen my server, sorry for these players that wanted to play... It is my fault... and maybe my wife too... lol

ALIEN BLUE AND ALIEN RED. For the imperial, they were supposed to be set to RED only.. rebel BLUE only... for hutt RED only... Corellians Red and Blue.. Hapans blue... Bothan Blue... Yevethas not sure... Chiss red only...but there aren't in the game yet... they will appear at the they 25 if my memory is good... I'll check that on my two TWA (the new one for the future game B and the actual GAME A)

What is pdropped ? just to understand what you meant by this...

For pills of RED or BLUE alien figs, if you are blue, you may avoid blue figs or pay or evasive manuver... and destroy red figs...
vice verça... if you know what is mean in french (same logical if you are red)...

Builder Game : Don't know that game style, if you have a description somewhere, i would like to know more about that...
But... a trophy planet game like you called my edit, who named the kind of game, I should kick his b***. Trophy planets... one year of work to hear ... ooo it's a trophy planet game.... my two arms fell on the floor... (french expression translated in english)

Toyman : Good idea for Probes, but I'm not sure if I will do that... I will think about that idea when I will have time to edit my edit lol...

No worries. I was gonna say that day 1 I was able to cap near a dozen planets and buy a nice ship without using photons. I like the edit. It's a good idea but I agree with the others it still needs work. Check out planet 300 for a case in point. Oh and your aliens are nuts. Makes reading the logs an effort.

Pdrop is planet dropping another player with a lvl4 planet. To quote Rexx (god help me):

Planet Dropping
The tactic where a player stations in the Citadel of a mobile planet (using a Level-4 or greater), waiting for another player to enter a sector manned with fighters. After this occurs the player then warps the planet into that sector and attempt to SD or CAP them. Also referred to as: P-dropping.

Oh and FYI no one can reply to posts in Game Rebangs forums so asking questions there won't get any answers.
