Hmmm. That might be something fun I could do when I'm tired of the grind. Add it in as a "fed-like" ship.

Yeah, he was awsome! Could warp anywhere converting anyone's figs to ferrengi, even the back of your bubble. He didn't covert door figs, but he would any large cache of figs in open space. That sucked, he converted 3M figs of mine once. LOL

"Fighters have been disrupted by an unknown source in sector xxxx." or something along those lines was the message you'd get.

You could attack him but only in a Dreadnaught. Ship and planets IG's could not hold him.

I think he carried 40k figs but maybe 5k shields? And I don't recall the battle odds. I've never capped him myself, but I did get a few waves of figs hit him.

I wrote a log converter that outputs a HTML fragment, complete with colors and blink text:

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=31906&start=110

I'm curious what converter you've been using. If it's one you wrote yourself, maybe we can compare notes.

I didn't write it myself. Daily log parser by Xentropy and the pages are hosted local on my machine via freeware by The Mushroom Cloud BBS.
That's why I'm concered about it working with V2. I'm not confident I can modify it if needed.

Kav sent me a pm and directed me to this thread. I totally forgot about that chart.

That machine where the chart is on still works - at least it was when I last shut it down maybe a couple years ago. It's a Win 95 machine ;) so it's old but still working. I just totally forgot about it until I got Kav's pm today.

I have no idea if Eleq's version is the most recent. But I'll look into it tomorrow. The sandman is calling me right now ;)

I have to get my old machine anyways as that's where my TWGS codes are too. The last two machines that I ran my TWGS on got hosed so I need to retrieve the codes from that old machine anyways. So I'll kill two birds with one stone by looking for the chart then getting my codes.

Not to deter you from firing up that machine, but I have your registration codes if you need them.

All right. I checked the machine. The MBBS-TWGS chart on my machine was updated as of the year 2004 according to file properties even though the page itself shows the same "updated" date as shown on Eleq's site.

It's possible I did an update but never FTP'ed it. I'll have to compare the two charts yet.

Once I'm satisfied the file is my most recent, I'll find a free web host and put the chart online so I can update it once again.

What I want to do is add another column of the chart to make for a total of 3 comparisons - HVS-MBBS , TWGS V1.03 and TWGS V2.x.

But if there are not much changes from V1 to V2, then a 3rd column will not be needed. I'll just add notes to the TWGS column in certain situations for V2.

I tried copying the file with a flash drive, but the old win95 computer would not recognize today's flash drives. I do have an older flash drive stored somewhere (it's only 256 mb - hence why I'm not using it as i've stored single files larger than that on my 4 GB flash drive - lol). When I find the drive, I'll use it to grab the chart, all my TW files, scripts, copy my TWGS codes and SWATH codes. I assume SWATH is still in support, yes?

When I get everything together and can begin work on updating the chart, I'll start a new thread and we'll discuss what needs to be updated on the chart. Since i've yet to play V2, this is where I'll need everyone's help.

My next day off from work is Sunday (the 19th). I'll begin the project then.

Thanks, Kav, for the link and the nudge to get this going again.

I have a busy weekend coming up and possibly the next weekend as I help coach a high school bowling team. We leave for downstate Michigan (I live in Michigan's U.P.) tomorrow for 3 days in the regionals and if we qualify for state, we go back downstate the following weekend.

Not to mention my job and coaching bowling practice and I've been pretty busy lately. Once bowling is done and over with after March 3rd, I'll finally find some time to work on the chart. I've just been too busy to work on it. I also want to give V2 my first real run on my local machine. I just gotta see if I can run SWATH offline. In the past, I could not do so because it always needed to connect to the server to authenticate. If I can't still start SWATH offline, no worries, I also grabbed ZOC 4.2 and the Rev Helper to run the mundane tasks. I'll hold off on TWX for now until I get a feel for the game again.

Hey, a fellow bowler ;) It's been years since I bowled in a league, but it's fun to go out to the lanes with the kids now and then. I bet coaching a team is a lot of fun.

Contact Stein and he can get you a key that will allow Swath to run without being authenticated.

The wiki would be the ideal place for that comparison chart.

Actually, I'm thinking about doing it over at Google Docs. I've been working with spreadsheets lately and this chart might be better off there than on an HTML table.
