Just wondering if someone could give me a description of the various edits that are popular like sub-zero, MOO2, and Pirates. Thanks
Are you looking for the actual edit information? Ship defensive/offensive odds, planet settings?
SZ is a 45,000 turn edit in its normal form, but it usually played as an unlim. 3 sets of aliens that allow for capping their ships (blue cashing), and homeworlds - reds run world steal scripts usually with a 70% steal setting. Striking Distance is the best planet followed by the Creeper. Some sysOps beef the alien homeworlds up and may not be worth capping - depends on if the Striking Distance has been edited to give faster L5 or L6 settings. You start the game with 8k fighters and 750k credits.
The other two edits are turns based and I know little about them. I've played the Pirates edit some, the MOO2 edit a couple of times.
