Whats up traders? Long time no see. I haven't played in over 2 years now and was thinking about trying to get back into the game. Just wondering what is the state of affairs in TW today, as it was pretty bad when I left..

Can someone give me a quick rundown of what I would need to do to get prepared to reenter Tradewars? I lost all my scripts and helpers... does MOMbot pretty much do it all now? Swath and TWX still the combo everyone is using? Sing still owning everyone?

Let Stocky know what the deal is because I would love to be ship destroying fools again.

If there are any tournies upcoming I think that would be a good way for me to get back in and knock some rust off.

Laff. Game is mostly dead. I play, but not often. Most ppl use mombot, but you need other scripts as well. Swath+TWX, same as always. I'm planning another turny in a few months.

Tw is about the same as you left, a handfull of players and twice as many servers, seems to be on the up swing imo. Check Sings, and LS site plus grimmys for scripts, and yes everyone seems to use MOM bot, or Kbot but Kbot still isnt public, that i know of. MOM does alot but not everything. Swath/TWX is most popular yes, Still some of us fools use ZOC/twx still. Sing does not own everyone I dont think he plays, he runs a server now though and there is a tourny going on as we speak, Sad thing V says day 50 Im guessing the amount of sec's will be lowered next time.Most of the regulars are still around and a few others who came back. I am officially out of TW myself. I refuse to play in a game where people run MOMbot so rather than complain about it and get people mad, I just decided to concede the point.

There is a smaller player base, but a lot of servers it seems.

Not to derail Stockton's thread (Hi btw, welcome back). But why do you refuse to play against people running mombot?

Controlling another player's turns and actions is little more than duping, but we have had that discussion in the forums before. Running M()M as a solo would be different since it is just a collection of scripts activated in a different manner than standalone scripts.

That's fair and I'm inclined to agree with you. Stbot was around in his day but I can appreciate that point of view.

Game hasn't changed much at all. Scripts have gotten a little smarter, players have gotten a little dumber, but other than a small fraction of unlim games... it's all just same game, different day.

If Wildstar *really* had issues with Bots, he'd play Solo-Edits. I think the truth of the matter is he just forgot how to play
