That brings a point to light. Who wrote the "original" SubZero edit. I'd like to find an untampered version.

Ask Big D either he wrote it or help write it. I know one of the versions was turns based like 45k, and the death delay was off, also the aliens are super easy to take planets and ships at first. Some place someone has edits up for D/l but cant remember who. I think Big D does also. Id maybe start by checking his site.

Actually you don't want the original sub zero. heh. The original was done by GOP and was a rough draft. I took his version and did some fixing, but the final version that is played today was done by Res. I do have Res's original release, (I think). Like he said death delay is off, so you'll definitely have to change that.

If you want a truce game, which you will have to if you want any amount of players, River Rat had an unusual edit. I forget what it was called.. but I remember you dont have any figs during truce.. no dets either.. i think. All sorts of other little differences. It helped out a lot with all the truce breakers and hours of complaining he had to hear.

If you want a good set of truce rules.. y-city has most everything covered. There are a couple changes I would change.. but its hard (for me) to contact him to say anything about them.


Anyone remember what Alienbase game C was called? It was a 30 or 40k turn game.

I think I have a link to your downloads still if so, I'll include this bang on Saturday. Let me know how you set up the game (colos, alien planets, etc) so I can put it as close to the intent as possible.

This is the earliest version I have. I think Ed Lewis and Res had earlier versions, but I doubt they still exist. This version was Res's edited version, so he should get credit for the edit instead of me.
