I was quite the superior killer in my day, but I'd still have to hand it to hELLCAT.

I used to open his window on my TWGS just to watch him in action. It was great entertainment, and a lot of his kills there were no macros used. He could type it out plenty fast enough.

He'd wonder around with a pack of photons and capture ships left and right. By hand.

Another reminder: Back in the days hELLCAT played, the TWGS had *NO* move delays. Moving sector to sector was instantaneous . A lot of other delays were also put in the game involving photons, etc, that he did not contend with. Killing your opponent was mano-mano, and the TWGS wasn't in your way. Things were a LOt harder and more dangerous back then, IMHO.

The game has changed so much now that comparing hELLCAT probably isnt fair. Of the old school players I would say he is the one you hear the most about and most of the old schoolers I played with respected him above others.

In unlims no doubt Alexio is at the top especially in the pre-superscript days. He always has scripted, but what few of you ever realize is that DU was almost exclusively killing in ship to ship with macros. Alexio always had the right one ready and hit it at the right time.

Of the strategists I would say Blue Adept, Kemper, Big12oz, and Doc Who are the best. I very seldom won a turns game against doc, that bastard.
