 TW History/Archives
Two TW sites have expired in the last month - Hellcat's and Vader's . Lots of good lore and info gone. I can dig up some using the Wayback Machine but it doesnt catch all the embedded links.
The Mad Hatter did one hell of a service to us, archiving stuff over the years. Eleq did also, by combining his arc with Hat's and making it accessable. Anyone got any suggestions? I cant do jack.
We could "ask" the Wayback to archive our material - they offer to do that for all and sundry but dunno if it would help, as of now, it is not searchable.

 Re: TW History/Archives
HC's has been gone for a long time hasn't it? Didn't know Vader took his down... hrm.
I can put it on navhaz, that site isn't going anywhere for a long time... it's hosted on my business server. I don't have a lot of time to gather up the files, but if you can get them in html format or would like a subdomain to DYI, let me know.

I don't have a lot of time to gather up the files, but if you can get them in html format or would like a subdomain to DYI, let me know. The Wayback Machine has both of them, the embedded links work for Hellcat's and for the interviews on Vader's, I havent checked all Blacksun links. Hellcat's: http://web.archive.org/web/200502052147 ... /twars.htmVader's: http://web.archive.org/web/200706100922 ... ntwgs.com/Other stuff is also gone but still archived. My thought is that someone in our community might be willing to put them all in one place. Would not be necessary for him or her to carry all the HTML overhead, just indexed links to the Wayback M/C. I cant, no resources to host it, but I'd be happy to do some of the donkey work, getting the links to the archives. As an example, many of Timberwolf's TWGazette reports are archived, even though the domain has been gone for years. Old farts like me can dig them out because we remember what to look for. Newer Players would not even know of their existence.

We can also be of assistance. We are on a business account, and own our resources. I would like to add as much content to TradeWars Academy as we can get.

Setup a subdomain archives.navhaz.com and sent info to kav. Thrawn, if you'd like to mirror it let me know.

Kav It was on EIS last summer, june/july 2007 (might have been 2006 though). That is my best guess. I could be wrong about the forum, but it was the main TW forum at the time, which was this forum, but I'm fuzzy on which host had control (vulcan/earth/gypsy). Good luck finding it. I was pretty chapped that it was lost and I put up a pretty good search myself. I don't have time right now to rebuild it. It is not on any of my local drives, nor is it on the current forum, nor could Eleq find it on the MS Access archive he received, nor could Vulcan find it, and I had no luck with the wayback machine, but I'm not a guru in that regard.
