Suggest run it yourself next year, Bait.
I'll contribute $0.01 to compensate you for your time and effort.

Sing, I like what you are saying, and if we can get together soon and talk, we will start working on a site for the Awards, if anyone else wants in on it let me know, I am asking now, and asked Sing just now, now are there any other takers? I know Maggie is in, she offered to me a while ago,it slipped my mind cause of issues with my dad, but when I saw her last post here, it hit me like a ton of bricks. And still want you to help Maggie.
Thanks all for the input on the Awards, it does serve to help make it better, just got off to a bad Start.
Thanks all, Vulcan Hmm who did you contact? Who did u ask? hmmm I call BULL****!, Oh and I decided to comeback to EIS to troll the forums to point out ALL misdeads by ADMINS and MODS..... Regardless if I like you or not.

Thanks all, Vulcan
I wil gladly help in any way I can. You might be surprised and get too much help. heh Sometimes too many working on the same thing can cause problems also. You shouldn't have to do all the work yourself, especially when Sing has some very good ideas that can help ease the burdon. I think everyone is beginning to see the big picture now, you know what the say about hind sight.

Zentock wrote: Excuse me, but i feel i must say something on this. First thank you K3, that is a great idea and it will be implemented the next time we hold the awards, expect them for 2007 by the 1st week in December.
Now as for the diluting of the awards value. In the real world, there exists the Halls of Fame for, Football, Baseball, Basketball, Nascar........ so, by comparison we have Trader,Scripter,Script,Sysop,Admin...... if the logic for the limiting of twars Hall of fame inductees where to be applied in the real world then we would have to merge all the aforementioned halls of fame and only nominate 1 athlete to the hall of fame a yr? that makes no sense as just in football alone there are quarterbacks, wide receivers, line backers, coaches,......., and even sports announcers who get nominated and inducted yearly. And i am sure that this does not lessen the value of the recognition of these inductees.
Sorry but i don't see the validity of so drastically limiting the numbers of inductees in a text based game.
How many football players are their? BaseBall players? BasketBall players? See where I am going? They put in 2-7 players a year regadless of position, but thats out f 800-1000 players that qualify.. hmm lets see we have what less then 100 active players. think about it, if you do it this way, in 2 years every active player ever will be in the hall of fame... GET A CLUE
I think you got your point across without calling zen an idiot. Next time, take it to smack. --- Silence

hmm, i think you figured it out bait.
It's EIS's new recruiting slogan.
"Play twars, get inducted into the hall of fame before your first game!"

Can I get $0.03 for the years I ran it with Cherokee? It would be more than I ever got for anything else

Baited wrote: um wait I think someone did in november of 06? oh wait they did, but everyone ignored him or said no awards... hmm Now the awards are a dictatorship by the EIS ADMINS... Hmmm WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP.....
Traditionally the TW Awards are a dictatorship. I know when Rick ran than on the EIS site, he set the categories himself. When Cherokee and Myself ran them, we set the categories ourselves. Whoever takes it upon themselves to actually promote and run the awards has set the categories. It's nice if they're open to suggestions, but if they're running it, it's their show. My original post was meant to only be a suggestion, not to incite any bickering over the awards. There is always enough of that without any help from me.
As a side note, I feel somewhat offended by ParrotHead's responses on the subject. His posts to the effect of "You should have said something sooner, stop complaining" are mildly offensive when all I was doing was offering a suggestion. He seems eager to discount my ideas not because they don't have merit, but because I missed the few day time frame in which he felt they could be offered. Also, in the same breath where he says I shouldn't complain, he complains that they're already doing more than their share. I'm sure some of you out there realize the multiple levels of irony I find in that statement.
Anyway, there is no need to get inflamed by what I post, as it'll probably be a few days or a few months before I wander back over here to see what's going on.

Yeh but if we don't get inflamed there's no way we'll ever beat your post count...

I'm sorry you were offended. I appreciate the time and effort you have put into this game and this community.
I feel that everyone should have a chance to speak their minds without fear of rejection. While it might be too late to do anything about it this round, there is no reason your suggestions shouldn't be considered for November.
Thanks K3.

However, since we're talking for other people, I'll talk for Harley. Harley Nuss wrote: I used to be the man at twars, even with dial up, but then I got fast internet and got sucked into wow. I wish I would have been like Slim, he was amazing. He had all teh kewlest gear and had leet skillz. Now I mostly just sit in IF and die because I forget that I rolled horde and can't hang out there anymore. Sigh, I wish Slim would come back and save me. Just like in twars, he was the best player ever in WoW also. And no, I don't accept your apology because I'm a hardcore rebel just like Slim VIVA LA REVOLUTION!
Oh K3, you're silly
