One thing to remember is that IE, no matter what version, works with Active-X controls. Any other browser is going to be quite a bit more secure since they don't use the controls. Keeps you a lot safer from spyware/adware if you don't use IE...even the new version.
just my 2 cents worth

I have a technet subscription and I have a beta of Vista.
All it is is a blown up version of server with a few bells and whistles.
Not much to brag about but you know Bill Gates.

The only thing I know about Gates it that he is a total dink! BillGates
int var;
billGates = "Total Dink!";
billGates.microSoft = "Total Dinks, although filthy rich!";
LOL, but hey at least FireFox has kicks the bankrolls out of IE any day! I found another kewl option you can place your favorites below your toolbar and above your tabs on the top so you can quickly switch to to different web-sites even if you do not have them up, rather then always having to search through the favorites listing. Also, the downloader is heck of kewl, it keeps a running list, can choose which program to open it and install it, and you can easily clear out the list or keep it for later on to look back through, one problem I found out though it does not check if you already downloaded a program, it just downloads it and names it (2), (3), etc.
Oh, I found this site by accident, though if anybody is wanting to spruce their Windows check out: stardock.com they have some really cool programs to customize Windows.

I already have visited them a year or so ago, and have the full package, blows anything windows uses away. I really like the logon screen maker and the load screen maker, it beats having to hack in and change them myself when i want to change things for what I want at the time.Stardock rocks.

Heck yea, the transparencies, the integrated start and taskbars are outstanding, I have made everything transparent, oh and the kewl boot screens, I am using the South Park Version right now, hehe. I wonder why they don’t have login/logoff splash screens though or they do and I haven’t found them yet? The only thing that is confusing is why it has about 20-programs that all seem to do basically the same thing? It is somewhat confusing tooling around in it. But, still it is more then worth it!

They have them, you just haven't found them yet. I have the boot and logon screen makers. And love them, My logon screen is Homer Simpson eating his way through windows, laff.
