Where as if the deleation of inactive players was 5-7 days you will find this wont be as big of an issue.
Also SubZero needs 1 additional edit to really make it a competitive game and that is the time allowed online per day needs to be set to 4 hrs no more.
Agreed on the deletion of inactive players. I have seen games where the clv is like the energizer bunny - it just keep going. Someone logs in and either sits in fed forever or is SD - either way it clutters the game.
Time limits I have never been a fan of because of the offline invasions. The only change I would like to see in the Sub Zero edit is the defender bonus for the Enterra removed, or it changed for the offensive odds to make it a true "defender".

I see players wanting to play mutliple games, this is why your whineing about stalemates. If you picked a game and that was the one you wanted to win then invest the time to win it.
Whining? Asking for people's for thoughts on truces and discussing the impact of those truces in regard to stalemates?
Whining is more like "Wolfen podded me because I was hitting his grid - that isn't fair" or "Wolfen won't let me get a fair start in the game he has been playing for 5 days and I just started" or the infamous "Wolfen you are a cheating sysOp S*B you sorry ------." Just replace Wolfen with your own alias if you have been playing for any length of time.

If the odds on the Enterra were moved to .75 or so, and possibly up the fig limit on the Hard Line (don't know what the max is for TWGS), that would go a long way to help things. Oh, and lower the price of the Enterra's as well. No point in making it that much easier to cap 'em and sell them off.

I have to disagree with time limits. They can be very nice, as some people have ungodly at key time, when others only have a few hours of key time, It makes it fair to the guy with only a few hours, yes you would have to change some of your tatics for say defending when your not at keys, but all in all I am in favor for them. Its just away to put everyone on more of an even playing field.

Bah. Time limit discussion. Hate it. There are time limits for those that like them,
but there should be non time-limit games for those that hate them too. I'm one of the
latter.
I'm one of those people that have "ungodly key time" and generally think that with
work should come reward. Giving the lazy-keyed "fairness" over someone that monitors
multiple games in the background 24/7 is definately not "fair" to those people that
invest such time. I definately don't think that puts anyone on a level playing field,
it just promotes weekend warrior style play.
It's actually possible to monitor games 24/7 even w/ a time limit (a script I have
and use), and even put up a solid grid defense. If anything it gives scripters a big
advantage over the general player base. It also promotes lazy gridding habits.
Anyway, that's entirely irrelevant to the thread. If you want a subby w/ time limits
feel free, but it's just going to turn into some big extern party. Everyone having to
come on to clear out popped planets and move their stuff back, repelling invasions,
etc. Meaning server time will prove the all-important factor (too important, imho),
people still won't get past a front loaded sector of 20 full lv6 Striking Distances.
Sorry, but w/ an unlim like that it's just too easy to keep your planets full.

I am curious as to your estimation when the corps are equal as the few games I have played on your server have basically ended in stalemate when the corps are comprised of skilled players. The present Sub Zero game (game C) is an example of what I am talking about. Unless mega-corping occurs no one corp will be the winner (barring offline invasions which does not appear likely since each corp maintains a presence).

Promethius...Just out of curiosity, I logged into the Subzero:Game C game that you are referencing and asked the players if they were ready for a rebang....and they answered....NOT YET, WE'RE STILL HAVING TOO MUCH FUN! Also, the game is quite active with multiple photoning and sector invading. This says to me that not everybody is looking for a quick game finish and some players even enjoy a game like that.
Tonight, I rebang Game H: Subzero: 3 Man Corps. The last game was resolved with a clear win in only 5 days! I invite you and your corpies JOIN IN AND PLAY...This should turn out to be a interesting and fast moving game.
Good Hunting [:D]
