if you think there is any chance that you'll have to take your machine offline for a week before the game can end naturally; i.e. the game is halted, and goes into limbo with no winners, then i'd say it's not worth it - and just wait until you are settled.

Being down for a week or more is fine, if everyone knows there will be an "Eclipes Of The BlackSun" then we can be waiting when it returns. All games could proceed as normal, except they would have a blackout period.
