is there someway to examine the credit on a port before you try to rob it?

hit p r r you arent required to steal anything and it shows you how much cash is on hand
(p r s will show you what products are available w/o requiring theft as well)

but to find out if a sector is worth the trip...sector 7465 is 25 hops away, how can i find out if it has something before using turns to get there?

I guess you have to go there...

Also, what a port shows isn't really what's on it. You will want to divide what is shown by .9 to get what is truly on the port.

yes bart, unfortunately u gotta be in the sector there isnt any super CIM bug that will allow you to see the cash on a port (however, if you CIM it you can make assumptions, specially if its non mbbs) a fully upgraded port thats been bought down, odds are it has some cash on it for ya.
