I'm reading responses to my posts in here (especially from some of the more seasoned and respected players) and one thing has become clear to me.

1. I'm not wanted here.

2. I'm not part of the "in crowd" here.

3. I'm not "worthy" enough a player to express my opinions on the games here, I just am not fit to shine the shoes of most of the players here (that is obvious from their posts), and my ideas are just "idiotic."

For the above 3 reasons I will be limiting my posts herein to the "Support" sections when I have a real problem with something technical and I absolutely can't get someone on ICQ, and to the "Advertisement" areas where I will announce things about the games I create (the ones no one seems to think are worth a darn because they don't follow the "formula" heh!)

I have, believe it or not, enjoyed posting here tremendously, but honestly, if you got anything original to say here about the game it's obvious that is not welcome here. You have to have "approved" and "excepted" views, and never, above all, never ever must you question the wisdom of the "twars Gods (self proclaimed).

Well, I guess I'm just growing out of all that.

It's a game, I have fun with it, I don't make a career of it, and it certainly brings me no income. I will continue to play it as such, and offer my take on things on my own web site, where someone can read it if they are interested.

As for posting here in the "general discussions," well, my views are only seen as "hijacking" the thread, so, I'll move on, really I know where I am not wanted.

Wow.. you shouldn't take things so personally. If there's any one thing in particular that might turn ppl off to you is that your posts are LONG-winded.. hehe Personally, I don't have the attention span to even get through most of the ramblings that go on in here, so I'm not familiar with your conversations/posts.

Here's a couple tips for swimming with sharks:

1) Don't go in the water bleeding. (Draw your own analogy)
2) Realize that you're not elite, and neither are the other 90% of us. Stop thinking that your opinions are worth more or less than anyone elses.
3) Listen more, state opinions less; draw your own conclusions.
4) Feel free to ask questions, but don't argue if you don't like the answers. It's just bad form. Refer to #3.
5) You really should only post: when your comments are helpful (based on facts), when you have a question that you can't find the answer for, or when things need comic relief (in the appropriate forum)

I'd say, don't give up on the forums yet. Just do more listening than posting, and you'll be ok.

Well there are other TW Forums to post in. I just created my own set of forums using the same software that EIS uses, minus their modifications, it is the Snitz ASP software. Just temporary, and I'll move it to port 80 on my Linux server as soon as I research better software like PHPBB and PNPHPBB or Scoop or others. Please feel free to post on there, I combined many forums into one big gaming forum, and I also have a Smack Talk forum there as well. The link for the forums can be found in my signautre.

Of course others are welcome there as well. We have other topics besides Smack Talk and Games, but I am trying to keep it simple. There is a swear-word filter, using some FarScape words and making the cusser look silly on other words. There is already a heated debate over it on the District 268 Smack Talk forums.

it's not that you're not wanted here, and as far as I know, there is no 'in' crowd; it's just that more often than not (I hope i don't get banned for saying this) your posts are either factually incorrect, completely irrelevant to the parent thread, or contradictory to your previous posts. I've not seen a poster whom so often tries to prove a point beyond a shadow of a doubt that is completely unrelated to the conversation. now, i'm not recommending that you stop posting (as i am reasonably sure you won't), and i'm not convinced that you are a complete idiot.

i would simply recommend that you assume that more or less everything you think is a tw 'fact' is more than likely incorrect. if you can't prove what you are stating as fact, don't state it as fact. also, if you read the original post EVERY TIME YOU POST and make sure that your post is directly related to that post, you will not get accused of hijacking threads.

Man....I hope you didn't take my reply to you to heart. I was jsut trying to tell you in a way that it might catch you attention and make you think not to quit posting.If you really take what people post back to you to heart maybe this game has taken up to much of you time, when i told you to read the TW School post again i didn't mean anything personal heck i go there all the time to keep up on knowledge of the game, or at least what knowledge people let out.
Don't quit posting to me every player in tradewars is needed you never know what somebody may come up with to change game in some sort of way, or completely change it. Just listen and read what people are saying and posting then react justly, don't just fire off because you think your veiw is write man i have only been playing for a while now they only thing that got me where i am at is listening...ALOT

You have a right to express you opinion and by no means did I mean go away you have every right to post here. It would just be nice if you didn’t post the same thing in 3 different threads especially when the thread started off about one thing and was going fine then you bump in a go on and on about something that was being discussed in another thread.
One thing I have learned in the world is everyone has their opinion on things and that’s there opinion and you’re not going to change their mind about that thing no mater how hard you argue your point. The problem is people start to get frustrated and angry when you try to push your opinion on them and to me that seemed like what you were trying to do.
I don’t mind reading your post. Just try to stick with the subject or maybe crack a joke but the same thing about red vs. blue in three different threads mad me feel like you were pushing your opinion on me.

It's just a game... This is just a forum. Dont take things personal, dont let people make you feel like your unwanted, etc...
It is only what you make of it and you have to deal with it. Maybe change the ways you come across on certain issues if you wish. If anything, dont change at all.. If they dont like what you say, they shouldnt read it. [:D]

I used to go thorugh this in another forum. I was a new user, I took things the wrong way, one thing led to another, and I said "I'm not wanted. If you want me to stay then say so."

Guess what? THey wanted me to stay. So should you. If you are an interesting person than people will take to you. It's just a matter of time. As you can see in my sig, I am now a Mod at that other forum. Give it time, people will respect you eventually. I've read many of your posts. You obviously have a lot to say, but that's not a bad thing. Stay.

Here you can take this personally, I could give a rats butt how you feel when you ask questions here and get answers some good and some bad. The point is that you ask them, whether or not you understand the answers is like the rest of us, unless someone out there has the last names of Oppenhimer or Einstien (-2 spelling). Point is, get your fur licking, hair ball coughing, tail flicking paws back here.

I am back, but I try to keep my posts short, unless I'm talking ansi descriptions, I've got alot to say about those, and the proof to back it up heheh
