Alright SGO i'll bite, REAL hard K so you get it i had to learn it from The Rev so ask him too any game under or right at a thousand turns, blues will kill reds eveery time why: Here is why, Red can't colo and cash all in the same day and keep up with a blue becuz a blue can build up port and colo and after a few day/or a week or so there bubble is self sufficent or atleast a few planets are while your still trying to find them, cashing and, get what little colos are left after the blue has got them all now you are playing catch up.
You with me so far????Ferther more i don't know how many turns games you have played but i have played many and won many with the man That Shrugs at you a few post prior to this one TW55,The Rev ,Fluffhead, just to name a few believe me there are various others who are sitting back right now Laughing about the post you have posted here,
Harley for one i presume..LOL and why don't you go ahead before you get long winded again and read my post (the first one again) and i said reds only use reds ship blues only use blue ships..LOL
If you would spend half the time actually reading the post you reply about you would understand that half the stuff your saying is wrong.
Go back to the Trade Wars School section again read it all then maybe then question people again. In almost every post i have read of your they are almost all negetive comments. Please don't take offense just learn more about what you are talking before you post. I am not attacking you just tired of read your posts bashing other peoples ideal and such: Like i said before i am not bashing you but you tell people that would annialate you in game that they don't know what they are talking about Even EIS.... Anyways Sorry everybody and EIS you know i am not like this I just get tired of this S*** sometimes
Don't you all>????[}:)]

not sure what this would prove (if you loose, it figures, if you win, means your opponents are much less skilled)
no way an all blue corp is more effective than a mix blue/red corp, at least not in stock

sgo, heh just cause you can steal doesnt make red better than blue, there is alot more to it to make a game scewed towards red.

Gangters..... Planet edits make it very easy for blue to win with no evils at all, if he can live long enough.
Iron Men, one of the most boring Gold edit games I ever played.
Wooden Ships, stock game practically with the ship names changed.
These are just my opinions, but I get bored easily
All I'm trying to say is this, you can edit the game in favor of the blue until you are "blue in the face," an expert Red will find a way to use those edits to his advantage, and the cash keeps flowing in from stealing and robbing the whole time he's taking advantage of these same edits that the blue is taking advantage of.
An 800 percent steal setting? That's eliminating evil from the game entirely, and yes, if you eliminate the evil features of a game by editing them out, then most definately there is no advantage or even reason to play evil!
So what we are saying is, the only way to balance a game edit so that evil does not have the advantage is to eliminate evil by making the bust rate so high you can't steal!
I agree with that, and it also bolsters my original argument. As long as the evil can steal and the blue can't, evil has the advantage. You're answer is "take away the evil's ability to steal."
Ok! So the answer then to the question "how do I balance a game so that evils don't have the advantage?" is "eliminate evil by making it next to impossible to steal!"

Since you freely admit to not being an expert red, how can you realistically sit here and try to tell people like me, who are expert reds, what can and can't be used to the advantage of a red? You are under the mistaken impression that having more cash on day 3 or 4 means you have a long term advantage in the game. Don't give me the bull**** about having a mixed corp, because that is a mixed corp advantage, not a red advantage. The easiest way that I've seen make a game blatently in favor of blues as opposed to mixed corps is to increase planet production (as you have ignored at least 3 times now). If we're talking strict blue vs. red, then unless the edits specifically are made to favor a red, a blue will have a long term advantage.

If A RED Chops down a Tree in the woods and A Blue doesn't hear it fall does it make a noise? This is a stock tree no gold edits, and the Blue is not wearing proper ear protection according to OSHA Health Standards.
I really need to get back on my meds>.....

Oh, I see, so, we are looking for how to edit a game to balance things out, that is the subject here. We've established that when reds work with blues (whether it's mixing the corp alignment or just two corps working together), there is no way to edit out the red's advantage. This everyone freely admits. So the answer then is to somehow get the red players to not mix alignment in their corp and not get some blue corp to help them refurb and colonize!
Therein lies the answer then. Edit the game to keep the evils from doing this, that will take away their built in advantage!
That's not an edit though, that's a "game rule" or a "system rule" that would be just as hard to enforce as a "no scripting rule."
So tell me, how are you gonna edit the game so that reds can't get help from blues?
I'm asking because I really want to know.
The reality, Harley, is that yes, you can edit a game so that a red, working with no blues, does not have an advantage. Talking strictly red and strictly blue no mixed alignment, no sharing resources between corps!
So I edit the game this way, disallowing completely the "mixed corp" variable, thinking strictly in terms of the blue will play blue and the red will play red and never the twain shall meet!
Ok, now I'm done editing!
I put the game up, and the first thing a red does is start working with his blue partners. So much for my edits!
sigh!

strider, i dont have your icq, but ill play.
sgo, if a red in a mixed corp has an advantage.. would it not therefore become a CORP ADVANTAGE because all memebers of the corp will benifit from the "red" advantage. but without the blues to furb the reds in the mixed corp, the red loses this "red" advantage so the advantage is only present in a mixed corp. therefore this so called "red" advantage is a "mixed corp advantage". and listen to harley, he knows red play well, i taught him everything he knows. im sorry i taught him so well, he can get ***y at times hehe.
Slim
oh ya, tw55, the blue will NOT hear it fall, but he WILL hear it HIT THE GROUND and then draw the proper conclusion that it was those ****ing nature killing red's who are cutting down our rain forests. Darn those capitalist pigs! heh

I could just as easily say that I think the advantage is a blue advantage when they find some reds to help them out. If you're dealing with a well set up mixed corp, everyone is necessary. That's why you set it up that way. If you have someone that isn't necessary, they're doing the wrong thing.
