Well folks, after more than 3 years of service to the community I have decided to take the server down April 30th for a month or so. It really seems pointless to go on burning electricity 24/7 with less than 14 registered users active in two closed games and about that many total in both open games combined.[:D] I figure it is time to give the old computer a rest and see if maybe I can design a better game with well balanced ships and planets. If anyone has suggestions on how to make my games better please e-mail me.

So anyway, thanks to all of you that have given suggestions and feedback on how to make the games better over the years. I

Take care and I'll see you all around.
Brian

Just a couple thoughts about your settings. Unlimited games will attract a fairly large crew of players as most of those are basically finished fairly quickly. The C and D games I looked at when you posted them and for turns players 4K is way too many! There seem to be 2 schools of low turn players and one of them is attracted to games with about 5K sectors and 800 turns and the next one seems to be flexible with up to 10K sectors and 1K to 1.5K turns.
4K is just too much for turns players as it burns too many hours...reds running 4K can prob do it in 2-4 hours and blues would prob take about 6-7 hours in many cases (not talking about macro based helpers so some folks might input time needed according to what they are using).

My website is http://www.evil70thstreetpeople.com and that is where I posted the re-bang, plus I notified the players who registered last time. I will be looking at some folks game designs that have offered. If you or anyone else has a design you would like to let me look at and maybe put up on my server let me know.

I think part of it is too that I want to give the computer a break. It has been going almost constantly for 3 years with little down time.

Thanks
Brian
