As for buying helpers, I bought SWATH..Have TWX and ZOC but did not reg either - yet. TWX will be reg'ed when I can afford it and I only use ZOC for REXX scripts swath cannot handle.

As for selling scripts, to each his own. Script writing is nowwhere near as complicated as writing a whole progran. But rather than buy scripts, it should be prefered how to write your own.

Tradewars these days seems to be automated anyways. Can you say "Major MUD goes to Space"? that what it seems like. Good thing there are decent games out there that does not rely heavily on scripting or TW would die a slow death.

First of all, And of courseI of all people need to be carfull. I believe that this or anyother thing that one can do to make money is a great idea. If someone wants to charge for his/her time in work that someone else can/ won't do then more power to them.

Question. Besided the welfare office, were does this Gimme complex come from. You want me to Gimme you a script pay for it IE gimme Money another script. something. People put in time and energy. Why should you get it for nothing. I am not talking about you Timberwolf. you explained yourself. But I write tons of scripts and people call me cheating cause they don't understand the way that they work or how. But yet want them for free. I don't chaarge for them but (Prolly should) but Darn sure want something in return. The one person that I know that des do alot for Trade wars and I hope that not just for his own ego.(had to put that in. LOL) is WildStar. He lets people know of game bangs.. tryies to get them in. Helps them out. Teaches them and all. (I know this cause even members of my perma (we won't mention names) says so). He has never asked for a dime. That doesn't mean that if hjkje want's $5.00 for a script that he is an Butt.

Just like anything else if you want it. be willing to give something up for it. BTW- You can always ask for a discount or a trade. never know.. You might just find that you come out a head.

I've made somewhere around $750 this year selling CK Script Licenses. This is slightly less than 1% of my gross income. Clearly, this is not about the money. It is about showing appreciation for my time and effort.

A lot of people send me email or ICQ me, just to say thanks for the free scripts that I provide, like my SDT or Planet Nego scripts. That is a nice way of showing appreciation. But for the more advanced combat scripts, people have to put their money where their mouth is. There is no mistaking it, these people are showing me that they truly value the time and effort that I put in to write these scripts. Every time I get an email from Paypal with a new person ordering a CK License, I know that someone else is truly appreciative of my work. That is what it's all about.

Capitalism what made our country great. And when not interfered with works. I am not do I care to go into all the politics in it. Trade Wars..... a game...not a very good game by todays standards, audio, graphics, etc. But still a great game thathas I beleive growing cult following. With John back new things on the horizon, and the old games still works well enuff to be around for years to come. Why because it grows and evolves inspite of its limits, bugs, faulwty code to work with, and being a basically a text based game. The reason I beleive is its unigue core concept made by Martech:
1. its fun
also
2. you can learn the game and get better at it (does not get stale)
3.no cheat codes( well if you have a server tedit)
4.you can play on your own computer Free
5. you can play online FREE
6. interactive with others
7. Helpers range from free(work well enuff to Play)buy( they help you kickass)
8.its Strategic game
9. Buy the TWGS and become god in your universe.
10. write, helpers, scripts, put up web site, win tourneys and become one of the elite in TW. (EGO's Stroked)

Pay for helpers, scripts. nothing wrong with it, anymore than the person who gives scripts away. or like BA does both.

Gambling on TW....another evolution possible in the saga.... good Luck res on your quest lol

1.Low yearly dues
2. Board members elected by members.
3. Have League type games with prizes,like helpers,script packs, TWGS.
4. Script exchange Program. Barter, or List a cash price for non script writers.
