I play some unlim, and i play limited most of the time, and yes, limited takes more skill then unlim,
with unlim i have found it all revolves around afw things:
1). Who has the most time to play
2). Fastest connection
3). Best scripts

I am not sure i even know who you are but i am just going to point out the fact that yes i have seen Jackal and prestone in unlimited turn games. They are a great break from the low turn games and usually less tedious to play. Just because it is unlimited turn doesn't mean it isn't any fun. I have played the limited turn games and to be honest i won't play another one. in unlimited play i can log in and play whenever i want. turn based i have to log in at certian predetermined times and i can't do that anymore. So just because you haven't seen them in the unlim games doesn't mean they don't play em.

Any idiot can kill someone. It's a matter of having more figs than the other guy and pressing attack several times. I'm curious where the skill in pressing ay10000*enter* is?

Actually phx my excuse making is very limited. Only time i make an excuse is when i lag uncontrollably. Otherwise, yes I give props to those who kill me. Only problem is that it rarely happens anymore while i am online. Can only think of two times in the past month. Once, I torped myself and the other time I just got caught in a macro. Both times i deserved to die and told the person who got me good kill.

Undead, are you a complete idiot? You must not have ever played a real unlimited game. If any idiot can do it come on down...we will play in most unlimited bangs. When you see one let me know and give me a holler. I can promise you it wont take 24/7 because you will either kill me or I will kill you WELL before 24 hours gets here. Most of the real unlimiteds are over in a matter of hours so why would anyone spend alot of time on them? I dont spend 8-10 hours playing because there is no need to. But in my limited experience with turns, i spend a heckuva lot more time online there than i do in an unlimited. I am sooooo tired of hearing you turn players bitch about unlimiteds. But if you think that is all that goes into an unlimited you ought to play one sometime. Your connection isnt that big of a deal. I used to have crappy dial up too and was winning unlimiteds then. Yeah you dont cash quite as fast, but it shouldnt matter if there isnt a no attack rule. Just come in and start killing.

I asked about this recently, no one could give me a game with no no attack rule. I would also prefer one with 1 person corps, considering I've never played unlimited turn games, I wouldn't have any idea of who to ask to corp with. I'm willing to lose, just tell me where to come to

Hardcoded bangs without a no attack rule.. but it looks like the next one will be some lame attempt to turn an unlim game into a turn game. It will be interesting to say the least to see if this "attempt" can be locked down in a few hours.

The last bang at Hardcoded was at a really stupid time IMHO which caused it to end VERY quickly. These sysops bang games at bad times of the day and usually without much warning if any at all, which means that hardly anyone shows up for the bang which means it ends quick. If sysops would give plenty of notification and bang the game at a time when the majority of the people in the 4 US continental time zones can make, even if they work all day (gasp), this would be a good start. Some of these games are so competitive if you aren't on in the 1st 10-15 minutes to buy a ship with transwarp and what not then you are too late. Which is where the no attck rule comes in... sysops anwser to this problem. But now most sysops have these ridiculously long no attack rules like 7 days... so it's a no win situation. I like the speed of the unlims because they do in reality take less time to play if there isn't a no attack rule. But on the other hand nothing bugs me more then showing up an hour or 2 late to a game to find it locked down and unplayable. So I really can't decide which way is better... perhaps a happy middle where there would be a short no attack for the first couple hours or something...
