I am rather new to TW and finally earned my comission and have bought my first ISS. However, I'm not really sure how TransWarping works. I don't want to mess up and lose my new ship, so I have a few questions about using the TransWarp. (I have been unable to find a good FAQ on this, but if you know of one point me that way) -Can a comissioned officer warp into FedSpace? Is there any risk of exploding doing this? (If there is an alien, for example) Do you need to be comissioned to warp into FedSpace? -What is needed to do a safe TWarp? Just a fighter (or fighters) of yours in the sector? What about a beacon? -Does NavHaz affect the safety of warping? (If an enemy was blown up in your home sector, for example) The game I am playing runs version 3.09 if that makes a difference. Any help would be appreciated. |

I personally would not play in a 3.09 game as it has waaaay to many bugs. On the Transwarp question, as far as I know it hasn't changed from any version. If you have a federal commission you can t-warp to fedspace (Sectors 1-10) and Stardock safely. Any other sector would have to have a fighter (personally yours or your corporation). If it didn't have a fighter and ANYTHING at all is in that sector you will FUSE and find yourself in a shiny new pod. I hope this answers your question. |

So you are playing a BBS door game. I can't be for sure then, but for what I know 1. Commisioned officer can warp to Fedspace, no you won't fusion. Yes you need to have 1000 and over alignment to warp to fed space. 2. just one of your (or your corps) fighters, or if commisioned nothing if jumpping into fedspace. The beacon gives no help when jumping into a sector. But if it was empty and you were going to blind jump, and there is a beacon you will fusion with it. 3. NavHaz, if you have a fighter you won't fusion, if you don't have a fighter you will. (if jumpping into fedspace, and you are commisioned, you do not need a fighter for the federal sector). If you have a fighter, and you jump into the sector and it has NavHaz also, then you take the same risk as if you would have just regularly moved into the sector of hitting the nav haz, and getting 10 x % of nav haz there is damage done to you. If you jumpped into a sector with 1% Nav Haz and you only had 5 fighters and no shields on you, you could blow up. If you jumpped into a sector that had 100% NavHaz and you had 5000 fighters and no shields, you would suffer 1000 damage. Of course both examples assume you had at least 1 fighter in the sector you were jumping to. |

I commisioned player can safely twarp to fedspace. You need a fighter for a safe jump point outside of fedspace. NavHaz doesn't make a difference to twarping unless you die to it when you enter the sector |
