How is it that a dead end sector can reside in a MSL? I don't get it...dead ends are not shipping lanes.... |

It would probably have a backdoor. Void out the adjacent sector and see if you can plot a course. |

yeah, it does...but what constitutes a MSL? Is there any way to tell by looking at anything that a sector is in a MSL? |

There is all sorts of helpful information at this web site: http://tw-cabal.navhaz.com/glossary.html "Major Space Lanes, MSL’s: The MSL’s are all of the sectors that are directly between Sector 1, and the Stardock, and the triangle between Stardock, Alpha Centauri, and Rylos. They get cleared every extern. Don’t leave anything in them that you don’t mind losing at extern. Planets parked in MSL’s will be dropped to lv 2 cits if they have lv 3 or higher." |

Remember you have to plot SD-Rylos, Rylos-SD, SD-Alpha Centauri, Alpha Centauri-SD, Rylos - Alpha Centauri, and finally Alpha Centauri to Rylos. At least that is the way I remember it. |

I don't recall seeing either of the other Port 0s listed...how do you find them? |

If you have a ZTM of the universe, you can search the TWX database for sectors with 7 warps-in and 6 warps-out to narrow down the possibilities. You can then eprobe those locations or explore. |

Lol, it has been too long since I played - You also have to plot 1-SD and SD-1. |

I've usually found it sufficient to do a single pass with a tour algorithm (1->2, 2->3, etc.) to find the zeros. |

Tools > Sector Finder Warps >=6, no port type, with a backdoor That will give you a shorter list to look through. Standard Universes almost always have Zero ports with 6 warps to and from and one backdoor in. |
