I have seen it i believe on some legacy bbs's on the internet. Game is much more fun with scripts and helpers but for those prefering old style play some no scipting games are being hosted.

Yes some of us still play the original. We run ours off our BBS.

No, but I would really like to get my hands on a copy of Version 0.96 if anyone has it archived somewhere.

The oldest MBBS copy I have is version 2.00 by Martech. If you want this one, I'm more than happy to sent it to you. Just let me know.

Hey Kav! Doing very well! I have "people" who count for me now while I live the life of leisure! LOL

I'm wondering now, just who the oldest TW player is? When I retire in a few more years I may just take the game up again. LOL

Not sure on the oldest active player. I know I am in the upper 10% anyway for age. I've got kids older than a lot of the players. May have to change my alias to Gramps the last part of May.

Not sure if I'm the oldest player still active, but I have to be close. By oldest I assume you mean years playing the game. I hope the hell I'm not the oldest age wise. lol

I started in 1988, played until 1991, restarted 1996. Been away for a few months but will be back soon, so say 14years total, at least 10 of them every day. Insane. Space Ghost probably has more playing years under his belt, I remember coming across references to him under TW dating to 1995. My guess is that The Mad Hatter has the record, he started playing before I did. I'm 59 next birthday but know of 3 active players older than me.

I'm not even sure exactly when I started the 1st time. It was a single node bbs which was ok because tw2002 only supported 1 node anyway. Version B1.v_? I also played for about 5 years before I quit, and I bought my tw2002 codes during that time. When I bought my codes it was B2v3 I believe. I then stopped playing for a few years and came back when the 1st version of twgs was release. That's the same year I bought my gold and twgs codes. I put as server up on dial up for about 2 years then advanced to a T3 fiberoptic connection at an ISP. Me and Soul ran Silver Wings together for about 2 years and then I turned it completely over to him for about a year. I retired for about a year and came back last year. During this time I've ran a server for about 5 years, and been an active player for about 8 years total. I've never duped since I found out it was considered wrong, I have played on my own server until I found out it was a no no. I've never used tedit to my, or any other players advantage. I've ran 3 successful tournaments ICE, ICE2, and Topgun, and created the Lethal Lottery tourney for Jackel. I've never been nominated for, or won a TW2002 award.
Oh, Me and Soul ran the 1st internet TW radio station and interviewed numerous players during that time. That was a lot of fun.

I'm a youngster of 48 with only 6 years of playing under my belt. Those were 6 very intense years though I must say! Yes, every day for 6 years... you're right, that's Insane! ;)

I remember the first TW radio station, that was fun! Soul sure did know how to ruffle TW feathers! LOL Even still, most everyone he insulted eventually got on and was interviewed by him.

We did have a lot of "firsts" in those years. I keep waiting for the "first" fully graphic TW to come along but that does not seem to be happening. So, I can see why newer players may feel this game has stagnated.
