Howdy!
I'd like to play in a 'real' tradewars game. The server I currently play on is rather small and tends to be somewhat less than competitive. But, I don't want to dive into an extremely competitive game alone.So, I'm opening myself for recruitment. Here's my information:
I started playing way back around 1991 or so. I played for about 2 years way back in the dial-up BBS days.
Then, a long long lapse in playing time. I got interested again when I saw the announcement on slashdot that a new Tradewars was coming out. I wondered if anyone played the original anymore. I was astonished to find that they did. I've been playing since.
I normally prefer to play blue. I have played a red a number of times, but I dislike it. (Of course, I've never played red in a corporation.) I've been a CEO of a corporation since I started playing, and my corporation is nearly the most powerful in the game I'm playing in.
I'm extremely good at managing planets. Excellent builder of planets. I'm also a near-master of the TWX scripting language, and a programmer by trade. (So, I also know Java and have an ability to pick up new languages in very little time)
My major disadvantage is that I'm somewhat new in a few respects. I had that long span in which I didn't play and the game evolved.
Anyone interested in taking me on?
