I've heard about Megarob, understand the basics like robbing and stealing, but I was wondering if someone could explain to me the best ways to make money as an evil. Thanks. |

In general, the most common red cashing method is SDT. Things like port density, planet negotiation percentage, rob, and steal factors can make a difference, though. |

Drop me an email at tradewarrior55@yahoo.com. I will send you a list of things i use to help someone learn red play. It is just the basics but I feel it will get you started in the right direction. I am not an expert at red play but I have been taught by some of whom I beleive are top red and Blue players. Anyway good luck to you. |

Give TW55 an email, he taught me. Knows what he is talking about. If planet negotiation is 60% or higher, you want to SDT. If it is very low, then SST makes more money. I wrote some functions to help a red player out, but I never had the time to finish them. They are in Access VBA format and I made an attempt to convert them to C functions. Due to family and college issues, I had to make it a low priority. Things like how much exp you need to rob X credits with a steal factor of Y% in a Non-MBBS game, etc. Or how much to megarob in a MBBS game based on how much the port says it has. Also how many figs you need to lose against a blue player's personal figs to go down X in alignment. Should I get the chance, I may just convert them to ASP or PHP calculators for people to use for free. I am looking more towards PHP as I am trying to migrate everything on my server to Linux and Apache. That is, if anyone is interested in learning how to calc things with a web calculator. |

A lot depends on how many credits you can get/haggle ssting. EP gets 45k credits or more per port. In that case, sdt isn't more profitable unless the planet trade is 80% or more. If you can only get around 38k credits/port (most haggle routines), you wouldn't want to sdt unless it was 65%-70% planet trade or highter. While at 60% you can make the same credits/turn sst as sdt, the cost of upgrading ports makes sdt net less money. |

Tradewarrior, why not post this list here instead of e-mailing it? |

Thanks Slim... I think. You are right on Harley. My average ship trade for 250 holds at good ports is about 44,350 credits. I think people would laugh at me if I told them what the theoretical maximum for 250 holds is. I think I'll pose the question on the weblog to see if anyone is close. +EP+ |

I would guess that 46700 to 47500 is going to be where the max possible is. |

Thanks for the input. I've copied your post to the weblog here: http://jroller.com/page/ElderProphet I'll post the answer in a few days. In this case, the max possible is within a credit or so from the theoretical maximum, and can be achieved quite frequently. |
