Well I see Bone Collector has posted that 4 games will rebang. He mentions the names of the twa files that he is using. My question is is there a place where I can view these edits to see what all has changed, for two reasons, playing with people who already knows the edits puts me at a big disadvantage, and second the real reason is so I can see who others have edited the game, and it is likable edits, so when I am trying to edit my own, I can have some basis besides stocked.

Normally if a sysop says the edits are available as a .twa, they list a location. If they don't, check http://www.coastgames.com or the website of whichever server is hosting the edits. If all else fails, contact the sysop directly and inquire about them.

Harley I mean what the edits were, as in a document that states what all has been changed, since I don't own a registered copy of TWGS, can't really load them up and view them that way.

There isn't anything besides a gold version of the game which can see the gold edits. You're pretty much reliant on your sysop to make the edits available in a formet you can view. About the only thing you can do is contact the sysop and inquire about an alternate form.

Ok, thanks that answers that. Everything revolves around me eventually purchasing a copy of TWGS/TW2002/Gold. Humm.

I try to post my edits as a TWA file and also in HTML -- other sysops SHOULD take the time to do the same.

I downloaded a screen capture program, went into t-edit and caped the ship and planet edits, it would worked very good, except its an evaluation copy and puts that across the screen. then they could be put on a web page. Its alot faster than typing all the edits by hand. For Sysops that dont, have the time to do the extras they may want to do.
Just an Idea.

Why would you need a special program to take screen captures? Just press print screen and paste into the image editor of your choice. Alternate, just copy/paste the text. It's ever easier than doing screen shots.

Very true Harley, the "Prt Sc" or Print Screen button works quite well in Windows, and then edit/paste or control-c into a Paint program. No need for a screen capture program at all, a waste of money to register a capture program anyway.

Just make sure that the registration codes are edited out of the screen captures so nobody else can use them. One of the screens in the TEDIT program, shows the TW2002 and TWGOLD codes. Just paste a black box over them, or cut them out.

Did you set a shortcut key to the Print Screen key? That might prevent it from working.

Windows 3.1 and up use the Print Screen key for screen captures from the best that I can remember. From 3.1 and up I have been able to use the Print Screen key to capture the screen. I used this for technical support to show errors that programs got.

Unless your paint program does not support pasting screen captures, which would not make sense.

Actually in windows 98 dont you have to hold the Alt key and hit print screen and then open something like MS Paint and paste the screen print into it in order to be able to use it. Kind of a pain in the Butt to me.
