Ok, I've got another one for the assembled minds [:D]

What happens if you are Corp CEO and driving the CEO ship and then disband the CORP to join another one as a regular/non CEO member? Can you still keep and use the ship until you sell it or get podded, or do you lose it like the ISS when you go red?

I'm assuming that I could use it, but if I transported into another ship I would be locked out if I tried to return.

if you drop corp in a ceo ship you can keep it, but you can't join another corp until you are out of it. You can, however, create your own corp and keep the flagship. Additionally, you cannot cap disbanded corp ceo ships.

A word of warning, don't xport out of the CEO ship. It will be owned by the old corp number. This bit me in one game. I joined a corp that someone was quitting the game and wanted to give me everything they had. So I joined up, got promoted to CEO, made all the ships and planets and figs personal, I was in the CEO ship could not make it personal. I quit that corp, there was another member in it who was inactive and became the CEO, and I formed a new corp. As soon as I xported out of the CEO ship, it was owned by the old corp and I could not get back into it and it had 150K figs on it, d'oh!

If switching corps, best thing to do is drop off the figs of the CEO ship and then sell it to buy another one. Each CEO ship is programmed for the CEO of the corp it was bought for. So if you quit corp 5, and create corp 6 and then xport out, the ship will say it is owned by Corp 5 and won't let you back in it.

best thing to do is not to switch corps unless you are created a red/blue mega corp type thing...It can tend to piss people off you leaving one corp to another...And not a good way to make friends

Usually solos create their own corps, and then get invited to join another corp. Or in my example, someone was quitting the game and wanted to give me all their stuff. There usually is a reason to switch corps. In my example the other players knew about it because we announced it on the FedCom, they did not have a problem with it.

Thanks for the heads up, I kinda figured that it would lock me out if I xported out of it so I just ended up selling it off after I dumped the figs.

I appreciate the Corp decorum warning too [:D] In this case I was a solo corp cause I wanted the CEO ship as it was the best twarpable ship for red in this game. I was invited to join to an existing corp.

Once you form a new corp, just change the ownership of it. "co"
