If the game setting allow 5 planets per sector, then can you bring in an extra lvl 4 and move products and colonists without a unstable planetary mass report? If the planet is taken back out of the sector before extern will there be any report?
Thanks

There will only be an unstable mass report if there are too many planets when extern runs.

Before extern you could have the games Max # of planets in a sector with out an unstable planetary mass report.

No worries if you are out when extern runs. You can move it right before and move it back right after with no report.

You can have as many planets you want in a single sector, no matter the limit. As others have said, just be at the limit by exturn.

I will respect you in the morning but I won't wake up till noon.

you can even use this to broadcast an opponents base location, by just photoning in and launching enough gtorps so the the sector planet total is one over the limit. Do this just before extern. YOu can even do this in an epty sector to set a trap, say sector 203. Launch a lot of planets in there to broadcast the unstable planetary mass sector location, then blow them all and warp a Level 6 planet in an your trap is set. and Leathal to all who come looking. Someone could easily scan and see your trap, but for those fools who don't. Whamo!!

launching 1+ gtorps in an enemy bases has more advantages than just broadcasting where it is at, at extern, there is a chance 2 planets will collide (not neseccarily yours) (obviously do this if you cant take the planets and want to really annoy someone)
i do have a question, can you do this to say, ferrengal or another alien planet? ive noticed in some games, you can not even blow up ferrengal, i will kill all colos and hit the ole ZDY and it says "the ferrengi have disarmed your detonator" and it still wastes the detonator. those jerk ferrengi

You can collide ferrengal even if you can't blow it up with dets.

Even if you could collide ferrengial , they would build it back right away.
But only as it was generated (not enhanced by the sysop with more fighters/fuel) as its set in Alien planet setting : type and basic stuff.
Hopefully J.P. will add more settings for minimal product/col's and mil/q-cannons .
This may all be moot with the alien AI due out soon.

I most often play games without gold ferrengi. In that case, if you collide it, or blow it up, it doesn't come back.

Again I agree with Kemper_3, I don't think aliens are made to rebuild their planets (as I have even tried giving them new planets)!
Once their original home planet is gone, it is gone forever. I'm not sure, however, if there is a sysop configurable option to make the planet rebuild.

I wouldn't have a problem with an option to rebuild or not rebuild. I'm not too sure how the aliens rebuild though. Do they have a planet "pop" in at extern maxed out and everything? or do they go to SD to get gtorps and then start coloing? I think if you could make the AI use the same type of gameplay structure as most players use, it would be cool if they rebuilt like you did. But Im not a big fan of taking a planet or blowing it up and then its right back the next day all maxed out. This Sysop once had a level 5 planet on like day 2, so I did the planet collision thing and at extern it read that his lev 5 planet collided with one of my null planets. later that day the planet was back where it was, with all of it's defenses in place. I know that was the Sysop editing, but I wouldn't want AI to rebuild like that. It takes the Player's sense of Accomplishment away.
