Banging a game completely changes the universe. The ports, warps, etc are all different. The edits are the same but the universe itself is completely different.

Akor, no. When you rebang a game you change everything according to the random seed chosen in the bang.
What I said was that some sysops don't change the random seed when they import a TWA file. The result is a universe that ends up being the same in most cases. Even worse, some don't even rebang. They just import from a stock TWA. In those circumstances you definately CAN map from the edit file. I've had it happen in several games by accident. Usually you can just tell the sysop and they'll rebang again... but if nobody says anything, well...

except when 2 servers both bang the same twa, I think, only noticed it once, but when dock was the same in both games, I knew something was up.
I came in a day or 2 late to help out someone....
So i checked the class 0s from my other map... the same....
so I told sys op his game was comprimised...
and I caused the game to get rebanged... then again the enemy corp was my enemy in the other game, so I know they had the map already too...

Yes this can happen, if both servers have the same seed all game data will be identical and have the same things in the same place,I know this first hand, so if you get an edit from a site make sure you rebang and change the seed, even then there is no guarantee that the rebang saved you from this happening.
Cause by some fluke of nature someone elses server might just have the same seed on it and can compromise the game especially if players from other game come to the server after playing in one that has run longer, and both servers have the same game seed then the other players have the advantage, they have a map of the game from the other game. I know this well, I had it to happen on my server once, and a player let me know that the game is compromised and I rebanged the game. And I reset the seed too.
This was done for all players to have a fair chance at the game, and for all to know the player was being fair and honest, and even though it caused the game to be rebanged the players still played and no one cried foul.
Honest players are hard to come by and thanks to one my server has a good rep as an honest server, even though it always had that rep the news that the game was comped and from the honesty of one it boosted the rep. Thanks Zark for the info, I wish more were like you and let sysops know there is something wrong and let them have time to correct it.
In case all are wondering whose server Zark was talking about? It was mine, and because I have a rep to maintain, I did the noble and fair thing, make the game fair and even for all.Rebang shebang.
I have many more honest and fair players on the server and they let me know if edits are okay or not or if I want to try different settings on rebangs to see if they work or not, and the input helps make a server better. Thanks to all the players that play the server and give input I can adjust the server to better suit the players better. Thanks to all.

In the TWGS ship editor some ships that have fusion dive and some that don't. What is the advantage of a fusion drive ship?

Is just used to factor in a higher resell value of a ship equipped with a fusion drive, do to is decreasing the stress on the ships hulls, engine, etc.
