If Someone comes into my sector with no shields and 30k fighters, and 2.0 to 1 defense and attack odds, and my q-cannon shoots them for 40k dammage, will they die? Or will only 20k of their fighters die?

Basically, is battle dammage by a q-cannon affected by the combat odds of the ship being shot at?

non-fighter damage (quasar cannons, mines, corbomite, nav hazz) ignores odds.

So 40k q-cannon damage would inflict 40k damage points, regardless of what it was shooting at.
