Ok, rebanged my games last night and tried to get them set to all default settings so I could start over and now am getting a problem in my non-player data file. Is there an easy fix to this or do I have to uninstall then reinstall TWGS?

It sounds like your alien server has settings that are not set right.
The first thing I'de check are the spawn settings.
For ships types under <3>Alien Race Editor , option <4> Resources
and option <E> Ship types.
Make sure there are ships set for them.

That is my first guess , but if this isn't it please icq me and I'll
look into your edit to locate the next possible problem.

yeah, i have a feeling that i 'screwed the pooch' when i tried resetting the aliens back to the default settings after i played with the spawn factors. i'm going to delete the aliens and re-do them, see if that helps any. if not, i've added you, Vid, to my icq. then perhaps you can take a look.

ok. problem turned out to be in the 2nd game so i deleted that and i can get back into it again. but that brings up another question. since the problem was in the gold races i'd created i tried to delete them then was told i couldn't delete it?? i thought ferrengi were the only races that were stock to twar?

Thanks Vid Kid for all of your help. So far everything looks good and is working well. As soon as I am sure that nothing more will happen, I WILL change my signature so that the address is there.

And for all who care, yes, I DO enjoy playing in my own game and don't cheat while playing. I have 2 games, a 5k unlimited time/turn game that is slightly edited and a 20k unlimited time/turn game that's heavily edited.
