What with unlimited games and edited ships and planets I've found that even 10 mil colonists on Terra just isn't enough. Is there any way to increase that in future releases of TWGS? Since the amount of colonists on Terra is related to the amount of fuel on Terra it would seem that it'd be necessary to increase the fuel capacity on planets. |

If you want a higher number, edit a new type of planet and have it go up to the max ore possible (100 mil, I think...). That gives you another 90 mil to work with. =P Of course, you only set Terra to that type planet =P |

Why is it everyone likes the edits that take all the work out of a game and make it end as soon as possible. I thaught the point of the game was to actually have it running long enough to play. |

It depends on what you consider "long enough to play". A lot of people like games that take months to play. Other people like games that they can start, and finish, in a single night. To each his own... |

Well Shorty, let me say this. I enjoy playing and do prefer games lasting months rather than weeks. What with edited planets and ships in a 20k sector game, 100k colonists on Terra just isn't enough. Before I found that on Terra fuel = colonists it was a struggle just to get enough to keep planets advancing. Now everyone in the game can have enough colonists to play without the headache of 'getting to Terra first'. The work is still there. Trading has to be done to gain cash, the universe still has to be explored to find your competitors and of course the races have homeworlds to be taken. Besides, the more planets you have turning out fighters, the better off you are in a defensive, not to mention offensive, mode. My thanks to Abbeyroad for the tip and I'll definitely try it out. |

the headache of getting to terra first is all apart of luck and stradegy....if you know when others play then get on before them.....if you can't get on before them then try a different game....Just my opinion.....Everyone gets something and then that is not enough so then they get more and then they are happy for 2 days and then that is not enough everyone wants more.....Why don't we just write a script to let swath for TWX play the game for you..... |

Since the amount of colonists on Terra is related to the amount of fuel on Terra it would seem that it'd be necessary to increase the fuel capacity on planets. If you have set the Max. Terra Colonists, on General Menu I, to something higher than 10mil. It can be set to a maximum of 100mil. Then you need to create a new GOLD planet that has a Maximum Storage Capacity for fuel ore of 11 - 100 mil. On you have done that, then you can have colonists of over 10mil. NOTE: I have yet to create a planet that will allow any # above 10mil. For any storage capacity, let alone Fuel Ore starage capacity. And I have been trying for 2 years now. I believe this to be a Tedit imposed limitation. If anyone is able to create a planet with a storage capacity greater than 10mil. Please, post here the information on the specific planet type settings. Or email me with the detailed information. |

Yeah, Wabbit...I ran into the same limitation and would LOVE to find out how to make planets hold more than 10 mil fuel |

You might want to talk to mad hatter. He's pretty good at manipulating the databases to get stuff not available in tedit, such as 0 tpw ships. |

<laughing> 0 turns per warp ships? Would LOVE to know how he did that. How about it Hatter? Can you offer a way to get planets to hold more than 10 mil fuel? |

Right now I have an experiment going. I found that I can set terra to hold up to 100 mil critters, so I made a terran planet holding the max fuel, 10 mil, set Terra to hold 100 mil and am seeing how long it takes to build up if nobody takes any off Terra. What might help the situation is in an upcoming version, edit the amount of critters generated per day to be able to make 1.5 mil which is the 65530 x 24 hrs. That way you can set Terra to hold up to 100 mil for large unlimited edited games while starting it out at the 10 mil we're currently limited to. |
