I have a question. We are playing on a Gold server and have been noticing some pretty strange things. Mainly, the strongest Corp has the ability to colonize while they are not logged in. Myself and others, have sat in sector 1 and watched them warp in and out, grabbing colonist while not being listed as online. Has anyone else ran into this or know whats going on? Thanks, phark |

There is a setting that will enable you to see only who is in your corp that is online and the rest are not shown even if they are online.... STRIDER |

Nope. You can see every person that is online. This is why I find this so strange. You can sit at Terra and see them warping in, picking up colonist, then warping back out. While they are colonizing, press "#" and they aren't online, even though you are watching them. |

Ver# 3.11.55 Gold running under Sockets. The local display is ON at all times. This game is registered to Alien Base. Telnet to twgs.alienbase.net 198.202.29.51) The game in question is game "A" (Aliens Among Us) The team in question is Corp 1 and the players name is "playgame" Thanks for the help. FIVE players have now confirmed seeing this same thing happening. |

sometimes the bbs sysop can give people the option of being cloaked, so no one knows your on. |

Having the GameOp cloak players? This would lead me to believe that the GameOp is probably the "playgame" charactor and that they are indeed cheating. [xx(] |

Alienbase is a well respected server that has been around for awhile. I wouldn't jump to that conclusion just yet,wait for some players with experience in bugs to respond. And hopefully the sysop. I have sent River Rat an e-mail that this thread is going on. Patience grasshoppa.

I have also made some screen captures. This has been going on all day, as soon as the colonist population goes up, "playgame" grabs them all without being logged in. |

oooh, screen captures are good. log what you can. i dont know enough about tedit functions vs. known bugs to help, but others will, and if its not a known bug the caps/logs will be useful to jp. I also know some people use scripts to login at set intervals, grab colos, and immediately log out, especially timed games. Is it possible you are just not hitting # quick enough and that they have logged out before you even get the chance to see them. |

It's a game with an 8 hour time limit. I would imagine they're logging on, grabbing colos, then logging off. That way they conserve time. That's why they're never showing up as online when you check, they've already logged back out. |

They said that they are running a "Burst Script" or something. You may be correct. |
