I have purchased this but I can't even seem to get a game going. I have looked through here and there seems to be a thread that used to reference this but it is no longer...at least I cannot find it.

Is there any documentation to this game?

Once you start the twgs, click on Help and it should cover most of the initial setup and configuration. Also, there are some .doc files in the <installation directory>\Game folder that you should take a look at. If you have any specific questions after that, just ask.

Ok...so I got the thing finally running. I am having an issue to were if I walk away and come back a few hours later the game has ended and it isn't even running on the server.

I am running it on a win2k server..

When it is up it is working fine but out of the blue it just disappears.

I have set in the setting that it should start with the system reboot and that is not happening.

I have also tried to get it started as a service and can't seem to get that working either.

The documentation of the help file is spotty at best and really doesn't cover issues such as this.

thanks,

rex

one more thing...sorry

Are you not supposed to get a new set of turns each day?

I played last night and logged back in in the morning and I still had only 10 turns left.

I thought that like midnight your turns refreshed for the new day.

I am a newbie to this. I used to play a version of trade wars years ago but it wasn't this detailed and you could trade more than 3 things per planet....

Ok, first off, I assume you're running twgs version 3.11.55 and have your codes entered. Now then, as to turns. They regen hourly (total / 24) as long as the server is running.

As to running it as a service - check out this thread:

As to just out of the blue disappears... I've never heard of any sort of problem like this. Are there any errors or anything when the twgs disappears?
