I know it might be a big project in itself, but by expanding the compatability of TWGS and TW2002 itself to the UNIX / LINUX operating system, might double the demographic of people who use the game.

Having the opportunity to run the game from a UNIX shell or even a specially set up web server would increase the desirability of running a game server , and thus increasing the overall exposure of the game itself.

I know one of my biggest problems with running my TWGS is always keeping my computer on and making sure the server is always running.

Again, its just a suggestion , but i myself would find it attractive to at least consider the option of expanding the exposure of the game server, on a buisness ($$$) as well as general popularity aspect.

Im not sure what the program is coded in (VC++, C++ , VB?) , but im sure if the author of TWGS is anything like the programmer i am, a good project is something he wouldnt turn down.

Let me know what you guys think!

If I remember correctly it has been asked before. The answer was the current version would be to difficult to port to UNIX/LINUX. Probally the next version would support multiple platforms.

Well, I hear that Lindows 3.0 will run some Windows programs. I wonder if it will run TWGS?
